Praise for ‘BRAIN CANDY’
“With ‘Brain Candy’, all bets are off: Broader, more colourful and with a lot more to say, it shows Hockey Dad are ready to take on the world” – NME ****
“For [Hockey Dad’s] follow-up they’ve refined their sound a touch, without losing any impact” – Herald Sun
“Hockey Dad may have set out to offer the world some escapist brain candy, but they have subsequently created a genuinely rich album. Brain Candy is a pleasing addition to their discography and sure to excite fans.” – HI FI Way
“Entrenched in a rich lineage of savage Australian rock thrashers and hopeful burnouts, Hockey Dad’s immediate ascent has been marked with track after track of riffage-backed ennui and Brain Candy only exhibits it at its absolute best.” – Stack Mag

Wollongong’s Channel 11 has made an emergency live broadcast confirming that ‘Brain Candy’ delivery drivers and members of local band Hockey Dad have escaped an involuntary testing program at Windang Chemical Industries. Whilst their current whereabouts is unknown, in a cryptic message released yesterday via social media the band have alluded to a one-of-a-kind ‘Livescream’ event being held tonight at 08:00 PM Wollongong time.
Investigative reporter Astrid Jones has urged locals NOT to tune in to watch the band perform their new album ‘Brain Candy’ in its entirety, as these sounds are highly contagious. Residents of the greater Illawarra and citizens of the world, are asked as a health precaution NOT to click the link below.

(DON’T) TUNE IN HERE FROM 8PM (AEST) TONIGHT

The announcement of ‘Alive At The Theatre-Livescream!’ serves to launch triple j’s current Album Of The Week, ‘Brain Candy’ – featuring fan favourites ‘I Missed Out’ (which secured a #60 spot in triple j’s hottest 100), ‘Itch, ‘Good Eye’, ‘In This State’ alongside a splattering of instant anthems. After the unfortunate news that Hockey Dad’s planned ‘Alive At the Drive-In’ shows were forced to be postponed following torrential rain, ‘Alive At The Theatre- Livestream’ will bring the horror indoors. The apocalypse will be televised, just make sure you bring the popcorn.
Fans are also directed to make their way calmly to their nearest physical or online retailer and buy or stream ‘Brain Candy’ immediately to treat any apocalyptic stress and purchase tickets to the forthcoming ‘Brain Candy’ tour for long term relief.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
