At Eatons Hill Hotel on Sat July 17th, a once in a lifetime opportunity is landing.

And what’s more, all proceeds go towards feeding our neighbourhood’s most disadvantaged citizens.

THE G.O with THE S.H.O.W?
Coming together for ONE NIGHT ONLY from right across the country, Sydney’s stalwarts of radio anthems Hoodoo Guru’s (What’s My Scene, Miss Freelove ’69, 1000 Miles Away) will join Adelaide powerhouse The SuperJesus and, fronted by the enigmatic dynamo that is the now Perth based Fiona Horne – Def FX. Def FX are reuniting as a one off specifically to play this one show!
The Hamish & Andy Regular, radio and television personality, commercial pilot, and let’s not forget world record holding skydiver, professional fire dancer, yoga instructor and freediver. Horne has specifically flown back into Australia from her current gig as a commercial pilot working for a charter company based in the Caribbean where she also co-ordinates and executes humanitarian aid missions to play this MAMMOTH gig.
And in case that’s not enough for a solid Saturday night out for you, the bill also features local legends Team Utopia who will be putting on a VERY special performance featuring none other than Australia’s own demigod of rock guitar Bob Spencer. Who has Bob played with? It would be easier to ask who he hasn’t given that just a few of his previous gigs include extensive stints with everyone from Skyhooks (replacing Red Symonds) to The Angels, Rose Tattoo & The Choirboys; to name just a few.
Then, the kicker – throw in another seven bands and some drinks deals and you’ve got yourself one hell of a rock and roll show in town !
Tickets on sale 9 am Tue June 1st from here but be quick, capacity is extremely limited (thank you COVID), so be sure not to miss out on this once in a blue moon night out.

GIVING BACK
This gargantuan show is being presented in Combination with Redcliffe’s The Breakfast Club and ‘Rockin’ for The Homeless’ (R4TH).
Redcliffe’s The Breakfast Club provides over 12,000 community meals, emergency food parcels, housing & service information, supplies, phone charging and a safe space for connection and support for isolated and vulnerable homeless people facing complex issues in Redcliffe, a region of nearly 100,000 people about 40 mins north of Brisbane City. As COVID-19 restrictions saw live music vanish overnight last year, for Dan Nebe – Event Director behind both the upcoming Eatons Hill rock and roll smorgasbord & the annual ‘Rock 4 The Homeless’ concert, the fundraising loss that the’ unable to proceed’ concert annually provided to The Breakfast Club was cataclysmic.
As Michelle Gilcrest, Director & Chairperson of the Breakfast Club says: “R4TH does as a community, something we could not do alone. It pays the bills and changes lives. R4TH is everything to us”.
Hence the first thing Dan, being an active member of the Australian touring scene did was ring a bunch of mates & organise a ‘R4TH’ Benefit album to replace the concert. The release plugged a hole, but it didn’t solve the problem. So now, with COVID restrictions easing, Dan hit the phones again. And here we are.
The goal this year is to get the Breakfast Club mobile. Australia may be wobbling it’s way through economic recovery but the reality is that COVID has made it a lot harder to put food on the table for a lot of people.
As such, ALL musicians are donating their time for free for this gig and the aim is to raise enough money to buy a ‘you beaut’ van for the Breakfast Club that can be kitted out to travel to those members of the local Moreton Bay community that for whatever reason can’t get in to the centre themselves.

The Hoodoo Gurus are very proud to once again be part of Rockin’ 4 The Homeless. R4TH raises funds to support Dan Nebe’s amazing work with The Breakfast Club, a community program that provides nourishment – both physical and emotional – for some of the most neglected people in our society. Whether someone is homeless, elderly, poverty-stricken or even just simply lonely, The Breakfast Club is a welcome outpost of generosity in an uncaring world. Rocking’ 4 The Homeless is putting charity right where it is most desperately needed. – Dave Faulkner – Hoodoo Gurus
“The guys at Rockin For The Homeless go above and beyond to help out people in need. They’re relentless in their pursuit to raise money and they do it in such a fun way. Rock n roll gigs and the auctioning of rock n roll memorabilia, a couple of beers and a few laughs, it’s always a good time for a good cause.” – Sarah McLeod (The SuperJesus)
“Def FX are excited to reform for R4TH and to join amazing musos, The Hoodoo Gurus, The SuperJesus, and Team Utopia rockin’ out to raise money and provide support and awareness for people in need. It’s going to be epic! – Fiona Horne (Def FX)

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
