Hot damn!
A lot of you listened to
this year’s
Hottest 100

When you look up at the moon you can be certain that somewhere else there are other people looking up at the moon too. But on Saturday 25 January, did you wonder how many people were listening to this year’s Hottest 100 with you?
We did… So we once again commissioned research into how many people listened to triple j’s Hottest 100 and there were SO MANY OF YOU!
Here’s what we found out about those of you listening from Australia…
19% of Australians aged 16 and over listened to the Hottest 100 live on 25 January 2020 – that’s more than 3.25 million people, not including overseas listeners
29% of Australians aged 18-34 listened to the Hottest 100
78% listened along with other people
38% of Australians aged 16 and over were across the Hottest 100 in some way – either having listened, voted or checked it out online via social media, news coverage or the triple j website, which is an estimated 6.67 million people!
As the Hottest 100 winner was announced, we had more than 333,790 digital streams going out via the triple j app, website, smart speakers and other platforms and many of those were people listening all around the world.
Meanwhile, triple j listeners helped raise an impressive $250,000 for our 2019 charity partner Greening Australia. These funds will go towards regenerating Australia’s bushland, fighting climate change by planting trees, protecting animals and much more.
Survey Methodology: Online Quantitative study of n=2003 Australians aged 16-75 yrs., with strict quotas on age, gender and location, making it a statistical reflection of behaviour across the Australian population on the day. Research was conducted by ABC Audience Data and Insights between January 31 and February 10, 2020.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
