Howlin Country Music Festival has unveiled its second wave of artists for the inaugural event at Newcastle Foreshore on Saturday, 15 February 2025. Adding to the excitement, the festival has also released its highly anticipated set times, offering fans a detailed preview of how the day will unfold. Expanding to a two-stage event, the lineup grows with new additions promising to make this debut a standout on Australia’s festival calendar. Leading the new wave is Kentucky singer-songwriter S.G. Goodman, whose powerful voice and striking storytelling have garnered her a passionate following, and Arkansas native Willi Carlisle, known for his raw, folk-infused Americana sound.

The lineup expansion also includes some of Australia’s brightest up-and-comers and local Newcastle artists, with Finnian Johnston, Hudson Rose, alongside Sara Berki completing an impressive showcase of emerging talent that highlights the diversity and depth of Australia’s country music scene.
Headlined by seven-time Grammy nominee Tyler Childers, as part of his nearly sold-out Australian tour, this is a live performance you can’t afford to miss. Howlin Country’s lineup also features previously announced artists Brad Cox, Sons of the East, and Taylor Moss, for a full day of live music on the Newcastle Foreshore.

Adding to the excitement, Howlin Country has reimagined the Foreshore’s iconic Frog Pond as a vibrant second stage for its debut year. During the day, the Frog Pond will host an intimate lineup of some of the festival’s most anticipated new acts. As night falls, the space will transform into a country party, with Y.O.G.A. and Cheap Whisky DJs setting the tone for a memorable festival finale.
Howlin’s unique blend of beachside charm and country soul has already positioned it as a major new tourism event for Newcastle, with 65% of ticket holders venturing from outside the region. Executive Director Creative & Community Services, Alissa Jones, said City of Newcastle is excited to support the debut of a new music festival. “City of Newcastle is a strong supporter of live music and committed to attracting and hosting major events,” Ms Jones said. “We’re proud to support events that contribute to a varied and diverse event calendar for Newcastle, generating economic activity for local businesses while utilising the wonderful assets our city has to offer, such as Foreshore Park.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
