Fresh from celebrating 30 years as a band as well as being inducted into the 2019 ARIA Hall of Fame, Human Nature are kicking off 2020 with the release of a brand new original single, ‘Nobody Just Like You’. This is a song that is full of percussive riffs, woozy synth parts, rim clicks and crisp finger snaps with Human Nature’s pristine vocals consistently remaining the focal point throughout. ‘Nobody Just Like You’ is available NOW through Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
‘Nobody Just Like You’ is the lead single from Human Nature’s upcoming GOOD GOOD LIFE EP, which features five brand new original songs from the internationally acclaimed vocal group composed of Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney.
A love song for those in long-term relationships and the newly loved-up alike, ‘Nobody Just Like You’ celebrates uniqueness – it’s what your significant other initially fell in love with and over time, your individuality is also what will keep you together.
Built from a simple guitar riff, the organic pop production on Human Nature’s latest single comes courtesy of Grey, the American duo responsible for producing three of this upcoming EP’s five tracks.
“The production the Grey guys brought to ‘Nobody Just Like You’ took it from a really great potential single to something with undeniable universal appeal,” Andrew praises.
When asked whether this exciting announcement will take Human Nature fans by surprise, Mike Tierney considers,
“We’ve mentioned it on and off, you know, ‘There’s new music coming,’ but artists often say that and then nothing ends up coming out. Hopefully the fans will be pleasantly surprised.”
So what made Human Nature decide that 2020 was the right time to release new original material? “I’m a big fan of what’s happening in pop music right now,” Andrew shares. “There seem to be actual songs out there as well as cool production stuff and it just feels like the right time in pop music for us to release original music. To feel like we can own the original music again is a nice place to be. In my heart I always knew that Human Nature would release original music again, I just didn’t know when it would happen. I’m excited, really excited.”
Human Nature have also today announced they are making a triumphant return home in 2020, embarking on a dazzling national tour this July and August to celebrate a hugely anticipated return to their original music and celebrate their ARIA Hall Of Fame Induction.
The Good Good Life Tour will see the much-loved vocal group and master entertainers ignite the stage with music from across their hugely successful three-decade career.
Kicking off in Adelaide on Tuesday 21st July, Human Nature’s Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers Michael and Andrew Tierney will take to the stage in Perth, Brisbane, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra and concluding in Melbourne on Friday 7th August.
