For the very first time, Double J’s Zan Rowe will bring her iconic Take 5 segment to the stage, with none other than living legend Ice Cube appearing in a rare and intimate conversation at the Sydney Opera House.
For over a decade, Take 5, one of triple j and Double J’s most loved radio segments, has seen everyone from Peaches, Beck and Vince Staples to Sir Paul McCartney co-host Take 5, revealing intimate stories about their lives and music through the story-telling prowess of mega music fan Zan Rowe. Together you’ve wandered through the five boroughs with Mike D, heard epic tales from Nile Rodgers and watched St Vincent and David Byrne bond over live gigs. It’s an unrivalled opportunity to hear the artists you love, talk about the songs that soundtrack their lives.
Now, in a live setting for the very first time, one of the greatest rappers of all time will tell stories from his expansive 30-year career as Ice Cube opens his record collection and peels back the curtain on an incredible life in music, film and culture.
