Press for INFINITY BROKE’s previous releases:
“Like Thurston Moore covering Neil Young’s Like a Hurricane in Dusseldorf” – The Music
“Infinity Broke are a band that does not go gently into the night: their new album ‘Your Dream My Jail ’is an excoriating, driven, thunderous slice of post-punk cake that is angular, studded and visceral” – Arun Kendall, Backseat Mafia
“Your Dream My Jail” is barbed-wire wrapped Post-Punk that takes it back to its howling beginnings.” – Tbones Records and Cafe (U.S)
“Their swingin’ and stompin’ blues-hued rock is matched by the passion play in Hutchings’ poetic lyrics, some angular art-damage and some sweet gospel touches. It’s an excellent follow-up to the debut River Mirrors, riffing on similar energy but even more streamlined, working open-faced and in the raw.” – 2Ser Real Radio 107.3

Infinity Broke, the hypnotic avant-rock band fronted by Jamie Hutchings (Bluebottle Kiss et al), released their first single ‘Abject Object’ on February 14, 2025. This highly anticipated track is from their fourth album, ‘This Masthead’ which will be released on 4 April 2025, as a joint production between Love As Fiction Records and Hutchings’ label Come to the Dark Side Luke Music.
‘This Masthead’ will showcase a new approach to Infinity Broke’s songwriting, with half of the album’s tracks originating from group improvisation sessions. The album was recorded by Cody Moore over five days at Stranded Studios in Bellambi, NSW. Hutchings, who also took on mixing duties for the first time, has infused the album with ethereal nuances, field recordings, and musique concrete flavours, creating a sonic experience that is both captivating and otherworldly.

The single ‘Abject Object’ exemplifies the album’s distinctive sound, with cataclysmic beats and mantric bass lines driving the track. Jamie’s stream-of-consciousness styled lyrics were inspired by time spent working in huge, empty, glass-obsessed houses and the sterility of the material world they represent.
To celebrate the release of ‘Abject Object’ Infinity Broke will be performing at single launch events on February 22 in Sydney at Lazy Thinking and on February 23 in Woy Woy at Link and Pin. The band will also embark on a tour to promote ‘This Masthead’ in May 2025 with dates to be announced shortly.
Infinity Broke is composed of Jamie Hutchings (guitar, vocals, percussion), Scott Hutchings (drums, guitar, percussion, backing vocals), Reuben Wills (bass, backing vocals), and new member Tyrone Stevens (aux drums, percussion, backing vocals).
This Masthead will be available on vinyl and CD via Love As Fiction Records.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
