Set to make her industry debut at BIGSOUND this September followed by national tour support for Didirri, Hobart’s Kat Edwards is excited to share her new single ‘Good Girl‘. Released with a stunning accompanying visual, ‘Good Girl’ displays a deep vulnerability that completely defies her youth.
Produced by Xavier Dunn (Jack River, GRAACE, Ok Moon) and Oscar Dawson (Alex Lahey, Holy Holy, Ali Barter) ‘Good Girl’ is the expression of an internal memoir, Kat explains, “I wrote ‘Good Girl’ after a very pivotal moment in my life. I was feeling frustration towards myself for not doing what was best for me earlier.”
Kat is the youngest of 9 siblings, with seven brothers and one sister. She was born in Canberra, outside the hospital, inside the car. Although for as long as she can remember, she has lived off the mainland in the sleepy town of Hobart, where she began to busking at the age of sixteen.
Now 19, Kat has two singles under her belt ’Stranger In My Room’ and ‘All That I Am’, which both received national airplay on triple j and triple j Unearthed. Kat and her band have since performed at Panama Festival, Falls Festival, Party In the Paddock and Til The Wheels Fall Off as well as support slots for the likes of Stella Donnelly, Alex The Astronaut, Luca Brasi, All Our Exes Live In Texas and Julien Baker.
With an exciting year ahead, ‘Good Girl’ marks just the beginning for Kat Edwards.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
