For the last nine years Long Island New York natives Iron Chic have been one of the most exciting bands in punk rock. Their DIY ethos and heartfelt, catchy sing along choruses have gained them masses of fans all over the world. A mainstay on the European and American punk circuit, February 2018 will see Iron Chic’s return to Australia.
Latest album You Can’t Stay Here, their first release on SideOneDummy Records, addresses the same big questions that have plagued the Long Island punk group from their outset: anxiety, depression, relationships, substance abuse, mortality, life, death, what it all means, why we’re forced to experience them.
“It’s hard to be a human being, how can we? When we’re not quite sure what being human means” sings Jason Lubrano on the album’s first single ‘My Best Friend (Is A Nihilist)’.
Last in Australia in 2015 for Poison City Weekender, two shows with The Smith Street Band on their ‘I Love Life’ festivals and a string of headline shows. 2018 will see Iron Chic returning to every city they played in 2015 along with shows in Hobart, Adelaide and Newcastle for the first time.
Iron Chic head to the country from Long Island New York next week for a run of 11 shows in 11 days and recently announced the list of support bands, some of Australia’s newest and finest, that will join them in visiting the East Coast, Adelaide and Hobart.

“You Can’t Stay Here is proof Iron Chic spent years honing their expertise in writing catchy, soul bearing punk tunes that defy the realms monotony and have quite clearly, perfected it” – Hysteria Magazine

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
