Sign the big key, it’s our 21st baby!!! After last week’s milestone 20 weeks here we are at the big 2-1. Celebrating your 21st through the computer seems very on trend to us, so let’s get ready for the speeches and bust out the passion pop. Did anyone remember the cake?

To kick off the square-dance we’ve got a takeover from Melbourne legends KEY HOO! After being involved with ISOL-AID, the band got the inspiration to release their second EP and to celebrate they have selected a group of artists they know personally. Key Hoo wanted to highlight the benefits of working hard on your craft and the joy that delivers unto the world, so they have lovingly picked some ripper acts to perform at this edition of ISOL-AID.

Key Hoo are starting the show with young Yorta Yorta woman MADI-COLVILLE WALKER, hailing from Moama in southeast NSW, she has already begun her musical journey that saw her attending CMAA Junior Academy of Country Music in Tamworth and becoming one of 15 emerging young artists attending the inaugural MAV Songwriters camp.

Next cab off the rank SARAH GRANT fronts the band Pink Zinc, but for ISOL-AID’s 21st will be going solo with her acoustic Byron Bay-side sounds. Continuing the party will be LEWIS CIAVARELLA, a Melbourne artist who appeared on The Voice, Lewis is sure to mesmerise with a nostalgic blend of rock and folk with a modern twist via his unique sound loops and mix of covers and originals.

The folk-rock legend tour continues with Melbourne’s KIMBERLY, an artist who finds inspiration from the rolling hills of Southern Africa and the sounds and stories of Baez, Nicks and Young. Her stripped back sound will transport you to a simpler time. Multi-instrumentalist LATCHY is up next bringing a warm and familiar sound with lush, nostalgic pop. Formerly a DJ, Latchy understands how to keep people movin’ and groovin’ and this translates to his live sound.

Future soul space rock is on the menu, DESMOND MACE will continue the party with some end-of-the-world funkiness followed by ARI SCOTT (BEAR MUSIC). Prior to lockdown, Ari has been charming audiences across Melbourne armed with little more than a guitar and a powerful voice.

To round out KEY HOO’s picks for this week, Melbourne groovers HOUSE OF WOOD promise toe-tingling funk to heart breaking vibrations. An energetic and limitlessly fun mix of cosmic pop and dancey soul straight from Melbourne’s dive bars.

Here at ISOL-AID HQ we are pummmmmped to continue the party with the launch of HUSKY’s album ‘Stardust Blues’ this week. To celebrate, Husky are performing and bringing a few of their mates along for the gig! Remember when some of the best discoveries were checking out the support bands down at the pub?

ISOL-AID has that covered with this nice little curated lineup from Husky. Hailing from Melbourne, the quartet have earnt critical and audience praise for their sound. An assured live craft held together by hum-along melodies, surprise moments of psychedelica and fresh yet fully realized songs, this crew are the real deal.

To start the stacked lineup, they’ve asked CHARM OF FINCHES to bring the heat with their haunting folk tunes. A dreamy harmony-rich sibling duo from Melbourne, CHARM OF FINCHES will deliver tales of heartbreak, solitude and whispering trees.

We take a quick dip through the Bass Strait to visit QUIVERS – lyric driven guitar pop with a jangly sound that bridges the gap between 1980s jangle and present pop. A sound both precise and pretty, the band have already begun waves including performing at SXSW and filming a session for KEXP in Seattle.

Up next, HUSKY themselves will be performing live and answering questions in a live audience Q&A about their album ‘Stardust Blues’ (out today!). Headliners may not be happening at the pub but Husky are headlining our hearts.

We cap off this week’s ISOL AID with angel-voiced pocket rocket HAYLEY MARY. You may know Hayley as the commanding singer of The Jezabels, her solo performances are a dynamic strike-out into solo territory. This will be a spiritual awakening of sorts and we are so excited to pray at the altar of Hayley Mary to finish up this week’s mega ISOL-AID.

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.

As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!

All you knead is love (and live tunes),
