Kicking it off this week is SLOAN PETERSON – a romantic dreamer, poet & introvert who makes direct & raw retro feel new and groovy. Sloan is a woman of ambition and resilience with a moniker borrowed from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – fitting as Sloan’s music is as cinematic as a John Hughes teen dream. This performance will be an enigmatic and energetic moment and we can’t wait to see what Sloan has in store for us.
Melbourne ruler KAIIT is up next and if you haven’t joined the fanclub yet, this is your chance. Bouncing between Australia and Papua New Guinea as a child and then settling down in Melbourne, Kaiit has been building an enchanting empire of hip hop, neo funk and SO much more. Music to empower, inspire and move you. An artist whose background in beauty and fashion carries through to a highly conceptual amount of aesthetic and a sophisticated sound far beyond her young years. Unapologetic and realized, Kaiit is here to lift you up.
MITCH TAMBO is one of Australia’s most talented entertainers. Mitch is a proud Gamilaraay man who lights up any stage with a passion and commitment to his First Nations culture and the people he represents. Mitch’s music blends traditional sounds and language with modern beats and rhythm with exceptional didgeridoo playing – Mitch cuts his own path with a sharp edged sound. Mitch isn’t just content with performance, he is consistently championing change and committed to promoting positive Indigenous experiences.
Rounding out this week’s show is ASHWARYA – a genre hopper of dark pop, hushed vocals and international sound landscapes, this 21 year old musician is challenging the modern pop landscape in Australia. Ashwarya was the first artist signed to new label NOiZE, headed by Australian producer Jarrad Rogers who has worked with Diplo, Charli XCX, Icona Pop and Mark Ronson. Ashwarya strikes hard with beat switch ups, both Hindi and English lyrics and Punjabi-style bhangra drums. Moments of rap and moments of spooky, dark production make for a very compelling vibe from this emerging artist.

Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
