ISOL-AID FESTIVAL #56
Wednesday 28th July
In Bloom
.
.
Featuring (in alphabetical order):
BENJAMIN TRILLADO, CHRIS LANZON, ŪLA
Like a warm hug from a friend you haven’t seen in a while (wonder what that’s like) ISOL-AID is back to make you feel all warm and cuddled and a little bit less alone for the 56th time. Like a ray of sunshine following you on your walk home, a takeaway coffee in hand, this week’s lineup is chock full of heartwarming talent, and the best mid-week lockdown distraction.
Just like last week ISOL-AID have teamed up with 99DESIGNS BY VISTAPRINT to offer creative and financial support to emerging Homegrown acts. If there’s a local artist you’ve been listening to on repeat you can nominate them now for a chance to see them play ISOL-AID and receive $2,000 worth of custom design work for their next poster, album artwork or merch AND be eligible to receive a one off $10,000 grant to help grow their career. Nominations are still open!

First off the blocks for this latest round of ISOL-AID is sweet singing angel ŪLA. Making a splash on our TikTok screens initially with stripped back covers, Ūla has proven herself to be a formidable songwriter, crafting intoxicating bedroom-pop reminiscent of Clairo and Beabadoobee. No one cooks up little slices of life better than Ūla and you can bet she’ll have you coming back for another plate.
BENJAMIN TRILLADO (a recent signing to the new Push Records), writes with a sense of maturity and heart, exploring his own experiences and feelings in the hope to bring light to matters that aren’t often discussed. Known for his heart-wrenching lyrics and unapologetic candour, Benjamin’s introspective storytelling and his rich combination of contemporary folk and indie rock tonalities is notorious for making packed rooms full of rowdy punters, or your lounge room on Wednesday arvo, fall suddenly silent, and also a little bit in love. And what a voice!!
Wrapping up the evening is Sydney singer, songwriter and producer CHRIS LANZON. Off the back of the release of his sophomore EP last month Chris has cemented himself as a purveyor of blossoming pop full of raw emotion and comforting vulnerability. Only in his first year of releasing music, Chris has already amassed over 750,000 streams and it’s clear why.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
