Rebel FM, the local rock station on the Gold Coast delivers up some of the biggest name rock artists and songs; artists like Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden to modern music monsters Metallica, Stonesour and Green Day. Add in some Indie Cool, Bloc Party, the Strokes, Radiohead and more music specials than MTV in 1989 and Rebel truly is a real music station for real rock music fans.

In the Beginning… Back in 2016. One man loved a rock n roll band called AC/DC.

What started, as a bit of an on air gag between two Rebel Brekky hosts is now the behemoth that is 24 Hours of hell raisin tunes! Non-stop back to back AC/DC, on air online and across social media.

With every album played in full, alongside classic archived concert performances, exclusive interviews with the band current and past & the artists they’ve inspired.

Joel O’Keeffe of Airbourne joins the Rebel on air team this year presenting his very first and favourite record Razor’s Edge from start to finish! A roller coaster ride of rock n roll larrikinism, strap your self in as Joel O’Keeffe takes over the airwaves.

The guest host list this year reads like a festival wish list. Guest spots and support from Tom Morello & Tim Comerford, Santana, Dizzy Reed, Papa Roach, Zakk Wylde, Godsmack, Alice Cooper, Rise Against, Against Me! & so many more.

Over the past 3 years various political parties & their leaders from across QLD & NSW have supported the concept of a Public Holiday in honour of the little rock band that could & we’ll never give up hope of reaching that penultimate goal of a nationwide day of public recognition!

AC/DC conjures up so many “firsts” for many Australians, the first guitar you strummed, the first gig you saw & for many the first time that you, well you know.
