Rising Australian singer-songwriter Jack Botts will release his third EP Slow Mornings on Friday June 4. Today’s announcement comes alongside the official release of the EP’s title track while Jack continues around the country on the rapidly selling Slow Mornings Tour.
While ‘Slow Mornings’ the single touches on a particular moment in time, Slow Mornings the EP courses more thoroughly through a formative period in Jack’s life. Marking a memory bank of the highs and lows of the last 18 months, Slow Mornings dives into new love – let alone a long distance love in a COVID-world – and all its highs, lows, joys, frustrations and anticipations. Jack adds: “This EP is a collection of tracks that represent a pretty crazy point in my life, and career. All the ups and downs of balancing a long distance relationship with work. It talks about all the moments when you want to throw the towel in and give up, to the realisation that giving up just isn’t an option, despite the heartache. The pandemic gave me a lot of time to think (sometimes too much) and dive in to different genres and styles of writing. I feel I ventured out a little bit more than I ever have, which I really enjoyed! This EP will always remind me of a really tough year, but appreciate everything that came from those lessons.”
He explains how today’s title track came to be after getting stuck in Canada in early 2020 due to lockdown.
“When a two week holiday turned into a three month stay in Canada, the warmer weather started peeping through. It made me think of home, and I began craving the East coast of Australia in summer, and living in my van,” he shares. “As appreciative as I was to have a lovely home and roof over my head in Canada, there’s something about waking up somewhere different each morning that I really missed. ‘Slow Mornings’ is about road tripping with a loved one or your mates, and taking it easy wherever you may be.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
