Multi-platinum musician JACK JOHNSON makes his welcome return to Australia this November & December playing all your favourite songs outdoors and under the stars, touring in support of his latest studio album, ‘Meet The Moonlight’.
Last here in 2019 to headline the 30th Annual Bluesfest, Jack Johnson’s ‘Meet The Moonlight’ Tour will see the band performing at some of Australia’s finest outdoor venues, kicking off the tour on November 29th at Perth’s stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden and making stops at the new HOTA Amphitheatre on the Gold Coast, Brisbane’s Riverstage, the Forecourt of the iconic Sydney Opera House, and concluding at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
Joining Jack on the tour will be Australian APRA Award winning singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts. Having released eight records including the double platinum ‘Laps Around The Sun’, and played sold-out tours across the globe, Ziggy’s genuine grassroots story and captivating live performances have amassed millions of fans worldwide. Opening for all shows will be one of music’s most inspiring Indigenous role models, the AIR award-winning and ARIA-nominated artist Emily Wurramara.
The Australian tour announcement comes just days after the world-wide release of Johnson’s eighth studio album and his first full-length record in five years. The album was produced by Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes, Perfume Genius, Jim James) and recorded both in Los Angeles, at Sound City and EastWest, and in Hawaii at Johnson’s studio The Mango Tree. Featuring the first single ‘One Step Ahead’, the second single ‘Don’t Look Now’, the album’s centerpiece and title track ‘Meet The Moonlight’, this latest album marks a major artistic milestone for Johnson, whose decades-spanning career has included countless sold-out tours, over 25 million albums sold worldwide and multiple industry awards, including three Brit Awards and two Grammy nominations.

Once again hitting the stage with his long-time bandmates, Merlo, Adam and Zach, fans can expect to hear plenty of classic Jack including ‘Better Together’, ‘Flake’, ‘Inaudible Melodies’, ‘Taylor’, ‘Sitting, Waiting, Wishing’ and and some soon to be favourites from the new album.
Greening and the environment remain at the forefront of Johnson’s touring with extensive sustainability programs at every show. The Jack Johnson ‘Meet The Moonlight’ Tour will expand green touring practices and continue to promote sustainable local food systems and plastic free initiatives. Johnson’s tour staff is working closely with promoters and venues in support of the BYOBottle campaign to create innovative plastic free campaigns which eliminate disposable plastic, provide water refill stations, and promote reusables. A ‘Farm to Stage’ program encourages venues to source local, organic food to support farmers in their region. The tour will promote sustainable transportation options and partner with local bicycle organizations to host bike valet programs at select shows.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
