Grammy Award-winning singer, composer, arranger, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, JACOB COLLIER, will make his first appearance in Australia to play two exclusive dates in April/May. Jacob will spend an evening at Sydney’s iconic The Basement on Monday 30th April, before taking in Melbourne’s Howler on Tuesday 1st May.
The 23-year old prodigy has been dubbed by many as one of the most innovative, creative musicians of his generation, rising to popularity through his viral homemade multi-track YouTube videos. Collier’s musical style fuses elements of jazz, a cappella, groove, folk, electronic music, classical music, gospel, soul and improvisation, and often features extreme use of re-harmonisation.
His viral hits, including his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing’, earnt him some legendary fans including Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, and Take 6. Music icon Quincy Jones was so impressed by Collier’s videos that he later signed him to his management company, Quincy Jones Productions.
Collier’s debut album, In My Room (2016), was recorded, composed and produced entirely by Jacob at his home in London. The album topped 23 international iTunes Jazz charts, and earned him two Grammy Awards, garnering critical acclaim worldwide.

.
In collaboration with Ben Bloomberg of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Jacob has designed and built a revolutionary one-man live performance vehicle that brings his multi-instrumental, multi-visual format to the stage.

If that’s not enough for a twenty-something year old award winner, Collier also recently recorded music for the score of DreamWorks’ latest animated film, “Boss Baby”, with legendary film composer Hans Zimmer and at Coachella 2017, Collier took the stage with Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams to perform the song ‘Freedom’.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
