Jade LeMac has a magnifying glass on pop music’s soul. With the strength of her pen, the Vancouver-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist paints a melodic world that embraces all the vulnerable layers many choose to hide. Now, for the first time, she brings her captivating sound to Australia, following the release of her new EP, It’s Always At Night out on November 7 (via Warner Music Canada / East West Records).

In 2025, Jade’s musicality took centre stage at festivals like Lollapalooza where she opened for ROLE MODEL’s after party (featuring Olivia Rodrigo as a special guest) and Osheaga as well as touring with Maren Morris across North America. Now, Australian fans will get the chance to experience Jade LeMac’s immersive and deeply personal world of music live, as she brings It’s Always At Night to stages across the country.

About JADE LEMAC:

Driven by honesty and heartfelt expression, Jade’s signature combination of emotive lyrics and tender vocals, along with her advocacy for the queer community, has propelled her to become one of the most intriguing artists of pop’s new generation. Her impassioned storytelling has set her apart since the beginning of her career, and It’s Always At Night adds powerful new chapters to her journey.

Forthcoming diaristic EP It’s Always At Night reveals Jade’s innermost thoughts once the lights are off.

“As soon as the sun goes down and it’s nighttime, I’m alone in my bedroom. I feel my emotions one hundred times harder, and the thoughts just flow into my head,” she says. “The title It’s Always At Night reflects the various emotions of each song that are more accentuated at night.”

The EP was built on Jade’s guitar, with poetic riffs amplified by longtime collaborator JVP to bring a bigger pop sound. One of its most touching elements is the vocal choir woven throughout, made up of Jade’s own friends and family, a reflection of her deep-rooted humanity and pride in taking her loved ones along for the ride.

The project opens with the lead single, “Running Home,” a song about unconditional love and reassurance.

“It’s a song about reassurance,” Jade explains. “Telling them that no matter what happens, no matter how you feel or what happens between us or in life, I’ll always run home to you.”

Tracks like “Pink Balloon” and “Sleeping with the Lights On” deepen the emotional resonance of the EP.

“This was the first song where I really discovered my sound when it comes to writing on guitar,” Jade says of Sleeping with the Lights On, one of her team’s favourites.

Throughout the EP, Jade continues to explore intimacy, heartbreak, and late-night vulnerability, from the romantic “Heaven’s Sake” to the cinematic “Sweet Dreams.”

From a young age, Jade’s love for music was fostered in a household filled with karaoke and family support. By age 9, she began writing mashups of pop songs, and by 12, she taught herself guitar and keyboard, eventually writing original songs like “Please Stay by My Side.” Her music journey took off at 14 through EDM collaborations with Monstercat, which inspired her to reject genre boundaries altogether.

In 2021, Jade released her breakout single “Constellations”, written when she was just 15. The track quickly became a pop staple, earning millions of streams and landing placements in Netflix’s My Life with The Walter Boys and Tubi’s Sidelined: The QB and Me. Her 2023 Constellations EP and 2024’s Confessions EP further showcased her lyrical and sonic growth, with standout tracks like “Aimed To Kill” and “Meet Me In Hell”.

Jade has remained proudly true to her queer and Vietnamese identity throughout her rise.

“I’ve been out since I was 12, and being part of the community was a big part of me getting my first fan base,” she says. “I’ve written so many songs that are obviously queer, and I love it. I just write from the heart.”

Her authenticity has earned praise from critics and peers alike. In 2022, she was featured in GLAAD’s 20 Under 20 and was nominated for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards. She’s been recognized by outlets including Earmilk, Wonderland, Teen Vogue, Ones To Watch, Flaunt, and Pop Dust.
