After hundreds of millions of streams on astral-indie-dance anthems like ‘Indian Summer’ and ‘Starlight’; blockbuster festival sets from Indio to India; and regular co-signs from the likes of Skrillex and ODESZA; New York City based indie-electronic artist JAI WOLF today releases brand new single, ‘Your Way’ featuring Day Wave; alongside the announcement of his debut album ‘The Cure To Loneliness’. The album is set to be released on Friday April 5th 2019 via Pod / Inertia Music and is available to pre-order now!
‘Your Way’, the third track to be released from the forthcoming album; is a daydreamy weave of jangly guitar doubled with a heavy layer of synth; channeling the perfect soundtrack for a distraction of the daily grind. The first official single and video ‘Lose My Mind’ feat. Mr. Gabriel was released just last month; and has received praise from the likes of Billboard, Stereogum and has already received close to two million streams.

“I was really excited to work with Jackson (Day Wave) after a friend showed me his music two years ago. We wrote the lyrics fairly quickly; Jackson was noodling on his guitar and somehow spilled out exactly what I was feeling at the time. Releasing this song is like letting go of the emotional weight on my shoulders.”

Born in Bangladesh; raised in New York City; inspired by everything from indie-punk to hip-hop; orchestral symphonies and the Bollywood classics of his parents; JAI WOLF’s life and music have been defined by a liminal quality that only a third culture kid could understand. It’s that quality that takes centre stage on ‘The Cure To Loneliness’; as he slips between references to cultural moments with an ephemeral quality tinged with nostalgia.
JAI WOLF has taken an unconventional path to arrive at this point. It was Skrillex himself who plucked JAI WOLF from obscurity when he came across the then-fledgling bedroom producer’s bootleg of ‘Ease My Mind’ in 2014; but it was ‘Indian Summer’ that propelled him to the stratosphere; racking up tens of millions of streams; a major GoPro ad campaign; and even sound-tracking Kobe Bryant’s final basketball game in the NBA. The song made JAI WOLF a star; but creatively, he was already looking towards bigger and better things.

“In my heart, this album is me,” professes Sajeeb Saha, aka Jai Wolf. “From the sounds to the lyrics, it’s everything that I’ve always wanted to do.”
