Jameson invites you and your mates to the continuation of Jameson Rounds at The Royal, a free Sunday series celebrating live music, Irish whiskey, and community spirit at Bondi’s The Royal Hotel all summer long. On Sunday, January 12, independent record label I OH YOU will take the reins, with a lineup including Hayley Mary, Green Buzzard, Andy Golledge and Brightness.
The stacked summer series has been curated by three local creatives, and continues on from legendary music photographer James Adams’ stellar lineup, including These New South Whales, Flying Machine, Prudence, Sloane Peterson, The Preatures and more. This month, Jameson is passing the musical baton to the hands of I OH YOU’s Johann Ponniah. From throwing backyard house parties in 2009 to founding a label that’s home to the likes of DMA’s, DZ Deathrays and Violent Soho, I OH YOU will be fitting the January bill with some of Australia’s most exciting and emerging talent.

Headlining the January 12 roster will be the giant and angelic voice of Hayley Mary, following the recent debut of her solo chapter and signing to the I OH YOU label. Next on the bill is Green Buzzard, bringing with them their signature Britpop hooks, fuzzy guitar, and garage punk riffs. Punters will be treated to a rare live performance of Novocastrian singer-songwriter Brightness and his acclaimed fusion of rock and pop, as well as alt-country folk livewire, Andy Golledge, who will take to the Royal stage with his all-in attitude akin to a popping house party. Lastly, Johnny Took and Kitty Callaghan will counter between dance floor staples and fresh sounds, to keep bodies moving all day long.
The January program will also see out Rounds House Band; an interchanging mix of genre-defying acts, bringing you original renditions of the greatest of hits. This month will see Green Buzzard, Leroy Francis, Sloan Peterson, Kesmar, Tim Ayre and Lucy Washington pay homage to the best of Fleetwood Mac. Jameson’s commitment to community spirit will continue throughout the summer series, with donations made to the NSW Rural Fire Service. Jameson Rounds at The Royal merchandise designed by tattoo artist Brodie Jackson will be available to purchase, with all proceeds donated to the cause. Jameson will also be providing a kickback of $1 from every Jameson drink purchased.
Jameson Rounds at The Royal is running from Sunday, December 15 through to Sunday, March 1, with February’s curator set to be announced soon. Celebrating community spirit, live music from some of Australia’s best acts and whiskey. Punters can also nab a piece of Jameson’s collaboration with streetwear brand Thrills.co when purchasing a jug of the signature serve, Jameson Dry and Lime.
