Rising star Jessie Murph has collaborated with country artist Maren Morris on new single ‘Texas’ – a perfect slice of country pop infused with elements of RnB and Hip Hop.
It’s an emotional breakup anthem that showcases the two songwriters’ vocal stylings and their gifts for storytelling and undeniable hooks.
The 18-year-old Murph’s collaboration with the Grammy award-winning Morris is the next step in her evolution as an artist. She etches raw emotion into strikingly sincere songs laced with country-style storytelling, Hip Hop production, alternative experimentation and unassuming pop appeal. Holding nothing back, she’s so honest about issues such as mental health, depression and addiction that she practically leaves blood and tears on the recordings.
The Alabama vocalist and songwriter has quietly emerged as a phenomenon on her own terms. She channeled the pain of dysfunction at home, school bullying and an archaic climate of misogyny into music as a teen. Murph then took the reins and built an audience on social media in 2020 with her breakout single ‘Always Been You’, followed by her debut mixtape, drowning earlier this year. With her most recent single ‘Cowboys and Angels’ and now ‘Texas’, 2023 is shaping up to be Murph’s year.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
