‘FEVER DREAM’

Teaming up with multi-instrumentalist and producer Fractures (Amy Shark, Vance Joy, Live Nation’s “Ones To Watch”), NZ/AU artist JHM is released her newest single, “Fever Dream,” on Friday 23rd June.
“Fever Dream” tells the story of a lover found in a club, using enchanting vocal harmonies against disco inspired basslines to capture the feeling of falling in love for a night. Using lyricism with references to folklore and nursery rhymes alongside funk-fuelled grooves reminiscent of the disco nightlife scene of the 70s, JHM and Fractures seamlessly blend old and new, creating a journey through the club and straight to the dance floor through an infectious chorus lined with calls of trumpet and vocal echoes reminiscent of disco lights and laser beams.

“‘Fever Dream’ captures the feeling of locking eyes with a stranger and knowing something is about to happen between you” says JHM. “It was inspired by a movie I saw about fairy rings and being tricked into dancing all night. In my head it was like the idea of how sometimes being around that person can feel like you almost can’t look away.”
The single marks the first release in a series of singles set to carve JHM out as one to watch in the Melbourne music scene. JHM’s previous singles have garnered significant recognition, debuting on national radio in both Australia and the US, landing her supporting slots for artists among the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, PANIA, Kira Puru and Queen P, and securing a place as a Converse All Star.
