Raised in Manchester and now based in Sydney, the 23-year-old talent has built a vast audience, amassing over 4 million followers across social media in only a few years. Sunny is set to embark on his debut, global headlining tour, selling out several dates in Australia, Europe, UK, USA, and Canada.
Joel Sunny is a true original: a visionary artist blending pop sensibilities with an irresistible cinematic flair. Drawing inspiration from iconic female vocalists, he approaches the violin as if it were a voice, rich with drama and emotional depth. With a distinctive ability to craft immersive soundscapes, Sunny seamlessly bridges music and storytelling while fostering a dynamic, interactive connection with his dedicated online following. His major label debut, Star-Bound Lovers, showcases three stunning new tracks; ‘First Sight’, ‘Parisian Lovers’, and ‘Last Dance’. each a vivid, transportive journey that plays like a film for the imagination.
New videos, made in collaboration with creative director Cal McIntyre (The Last Dinner Party), expands upon Sunny’s ideas and visual narrative. Speaking on ‘Parisian Lovers,’ Joel says “I wanted a romantic surface with something underneath that isn’t quite right: Cinderella meets Eyes Wide Shut!”. The arrangement was inspired by a scene from American Horror Story, where Lady Gaga, portraying Countess Elizabeth, gracefully dances with a vampire amidst flashes of their past lives. Sunny’s visual sense makes him unique as a composer: “As long as I get a picture in my head, I can write,” he says. Writing songs is “world-building” for him; “I want to write movie soundtracks, but the songs exist on their own, as a soundtrack to your imagination.”

Sunny’s forthcoming EP unfolds like “one big movie cut into three acts”, the journey begins with ‘First Sight’, a delicious waltzing romance steeped in Tarot-infused imagery that will raise the hair on your arms. ‘Parisian Lovers’ continues the story with a turbulent storm of strings. The trilogy concludes with ‘Last Dance’, a poignant finale set against the timeless elegance of a rose garden. Sunny describes the EP’s rich, dreamlike soundscape as distinctly European—a subconscious echo of his British upbringing.
Having debuted his live show to rave reviews at SXSW Sydney in October, Joel’s performance expands his already cinematic music into an immersive, emotional journey. Don’t miss your chance to witness Joel Sunny’s extraordinary rise as he brings his Star-bound Lovers tour to life in February. Tickets are available at www.joelsunny.com.

About JOEL SUNNY
Joel Sunny was born in Kerala, India, but relocated to Manchester at the age of two with his family. His mother, a dedicated registered nurse, and his father, then recovering from a life-altering accident, fostered a close-knit household grounded in faith and community. Immersed in evangelical worship from a young age, Joel discovered the vibrant sounds of pop and gospel music. He began playing the piano and singing in the church choir, laying the foundation for his musical journey, “It taught me how powerfully music affects people,” he reflects. Joel’s grandfather, a violinist and one of his greatest inspirations introduced him to the instrument that would define his career. He also attributes his love for the gothic and the opulent aesthetics of the past to his experiences at Catholic mass, which he attended with his father. Sunny is a major new talent; he may be a star of social media but his sights are set on the movie world, immersive live shows and visions of diverse, standalone musical projects, progressing into different aesthetic and tonal worlds. “I see myself releasing bodies of works because that’s how I write,” he says, “and I really want to write songs for movies, essentially pop music, but written and arranged for cinema. Then way, way down the line I want to score films – if someone can help me with the theory side!”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
