Melbourne based Metal artist Johnny Bottos has just released his biting new single Respect, which premiered exclusively via AAA Backstage.

“Respect was written originally as a song about haters and people who never believed in me. But as the song progressed down the track, I found myself writing more directing it at a specific person who laughed at my song ideas and said they were terrible. I felt this person was jealous of how I’d progressed with my guitar and song writing skills and their lack of progression.”

The new single is taken from Johnny’s upcoming album release that is set for release later this year. Bottos teamed up with heavy producer Mike Trubetskov to create his debut album, which focusses on mental health struggles, past trauma and the cathartic release that music can provide for somebody who is suffering.

Johnny released his blistering new single The Devil’s Cross in May, which premiered exclusively via HEAVY Mag. The single was aired on well over 100 radio stations worldwide and received positive coverage from AMNplify, Australian Music Scene and many more outlets. He then followed-up with his hard-hitting new single called Blood Stained Heart, which is the title track from his forthcoming album. The single premiered via Metal Roos and gained airplay on 24/7 Metal Radio.
