Iridescent electronic pop artist Jonesing has today announced her new single I Will Never Know (Who’s Always On Your Mind), a dreamy yet urgent track that laments the fact that no matter how well you may love someone, you’ll never know exactly what they’re thinking, out today. The stunning song demonstrates the kind of introspection and examination audiences will know and love from Jonesing’s previous musical namesake, Rosie Jones.
I Will Never Know (Who’s Always On Your Mind) almost feels like an otherworldly collab between fka twigs, Carly Rae Jepsen and Massive Attack. It’s undeniably pop, with an irresistible beat and determined chorus, but with colourful synth throws and textured vocal manipulation, and a wide open outro, I Will Never Know (Who’s Always On Your Mind) is a one-in-a-million kind of track. Unusual but warm, with melodies carved out to perfection amongst a padded bed of electronica.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Jonesing says, “I wanted to write something that was a ‘big sing’ and found a tenderness that I haven’t expressed before by stripping back the layers and finely tweaking my vocal control like a dial. This gave me the range to play with the pinch of angst and gape of vulnerability throughout the song.. It’s my most heartfelt song yet, and moves from a quiet kind of grief to a thorny acceptance.”
I Will Never Know (Who’s Always On Your Mind) is the perfect introduction to Jonesing’s world. A dedicated and thoughtful musician, songwriter and producer, Jonesing pairs her cool, crystalline voice with intricate electronic arrangements, juggling the moving parts with ease and producing out of the box pop with unusual structure. An avid admirer of Kate Bush, Jonesing shares the same sense of exploration as the iconic songwriter, and an inherent, bold femininity that filters throughout her work.
In 2022 Jonesing earned a place on AIR Women in Music Mentorship and MESS Professional Development programs. She’s recently established the interactive installation company Wild Conductors, which includes wiring up plants to create playable musical instruments.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
