Julia has toured extensively throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, recently playing Austin City Limits main stage alongside Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Billie Eilish, and Tame Impala. Most recently Julia did a session for KEXP – FM  watch HERE.

The enchanting video for ‘Don’t Know How To Keep Loving You’ is the fourth single from her well regarded sophomore album. Jacklin said of the process;

“The video was filmed in the upstairs function room of a Turkish restaurant called Alasya, on Melbourne’s Sydney Road. I was initially drawn to the wood panelling and red carpet. Everyone in the clip is a friend from Melbourne except Harry, who was visiting from Sydney, and also plays bass in my band. He’s also featured in three of my other clips.

“The idea for this video was hard, however I knew it had to be kept simple, with the song doing all the work. I love that it was one shot for that reason.”

Joining Julia in Sydney is globe trotting son of Kansas City, Kevin Morby. With his four acclaimed solo albums and myriad records of various collaborations, Kevin has become a true musical auteur. His singular vision, evocative lyrics and aptitude for catchy, dense songwriting has placed him firmly among the ranks of modern icons like Bill Callahan, Kurt Vile, Sharon Van Etten, Will Oldham and Jeff Tweedy. With his lavish, resplendent career-best double LP Oh My GodMorby delivers a grandiose director’s cut of his biggest statement to date, epic in scope as well as sound. He quotes:

“This one feels full circle, my most realised record yet. It’s a cohesive piece; all the songs fit under the umbrella of this weird religious theme. I was able to write and record the album I wanted to make. It’s one of those marks of a life:  this is why I slept on floors for seven years. I’ve now gotten the keys to my own little kingdom and I’m devoting so much of my life to music that I just want to keep it interesting.”

.

Joining Julia on all three shows is Albany (WA) local Carla Geneve. Witnessing Geneve in performance is akin to a sermon of fire and brimstone: it’s an absolute sensory commandment of flesh and blood attention. Her eponymous self titled EP recently gave birth to arresting new single Yesterday’s Clothes‘. It reflects a “realisation that you’re falling out of love with someone, and then feeling guilty about it, even though that’s the sort of thing you can’t avoid.” She has opened for the likes of Gareth Liddiard (The Drones/Tropical F**k Storm), Cat Power & Kurt Vile and played Falls Festival and Laneway.

These 2020 shows will be ones not to be missed!
