It’s time to step inside QLD’s premier BYO festival, Jungle Love Arts and Music Festival. Today, organisers announce details of the festival’s new home of Jimna in the picturesque Somerset Region, and share a lineup bursting with some of Australia’s most in-demand acts. After postponing due to the Queensland floods, the festival is forging ahead as final tickets are released.

Escape reality and enter the unique world of arts, culture and music of Jungle Love. Spread across the blissful weekend of Friday 2nd September – Sunday 4th September, this camping festival unites a community of open-minded, fun-loving and uninhibited punters, providing them an opportunity to connect and create meaningful memories.

Jungle Love has managed to hold on to almost all of its original line up, with a few more exciting additions. Prepare for soul-soothing sing alongs as Coodjinburra artist, Budjerah takes to the stage. Since winning an ARIA for Best Breakthrough Artist, this seasoned serenader has become one of the most celebrated Aussie acts. Those craving a healthy dose of electronic pop need look no further than Gold Coast natives Lastlings – a brother-sister duo that will waste ‘No Time’ in getting the party started.

Additionally, the five Yolŋu (Aboriginal) and balanda (non-Indigenous) lads from north-east Arnhem Land, King Stingray, are poised and prepped to share their infectious ‘Yolŋu surf rock’ in a captivating live performance. Prepare for a bit of ‘Fuzz Jam’ as Sydney buskers turned national favourites, The Lazy Eyes, dish out their signature garage punk tunes. Finally, Jungle Love reaches new levels of delight as Brisbane icon Hope D treats Jungle Love to their infectiously honest and relatable catalogue of hits.

These stunning acts are joined by a further multitude of local and interstate artists, including the welcome return of Jungle Love’s electronic Renegade stages. Spinning the decks and dropping the beats from dawn to dusk, let loose to sweet sounds from 8 Mile Yacht Club, Boom Boom Soundsystem, Renegade Playground and Love Camp.

Get swept away in the music as Jungle Love announces its new and improved improvisation jam stage, Jambala. Jump behind the bongos, set the groove with a guitar or try a hand at one of the many unconventional instruments available, joining some of the South-East’s best musos as they make magic. Forever expanding its otherworldly experience, this year, Jungle Love is welcoming the brand new ‘Dreamland’ Tent. From Cabaret to aerial performances, comedy to poetry slams, the Circus Tent is the place to find the whimsical, wonderful and thought-provoking.

If all this creating sounds like thirsty work, Jungle Love’s BYO policy means punters can load up the Esky with all their favourite bevvies to enjoy while on the site. Just make sure to leave those glass bottles at home. Of course, a curated selection of exotic eats and delectable drops will be up for grabs.

Not sure how to fit it all in? A rite of passage for any Jungle Love friend, the iconic Rainbow Bikes will of course be returning in 2022. Grab one of the 100+ two-wheel transporters and zoom from one activity to the next. Those seeking a bit of downtime need look no further than the lush natural wonders of the new Jungle Love Jimna site – which provide unlimited opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Wander through the lush greenery, lounge among the leaves or take a splash in the sparkling creek that flows next to the site.

Festival Director, Raymond Williams, explains that after the devastating Queensland floods, he and the Jungle Love team discovered the new Jimna site when searching for a more permanent home for the iconic festival. “It’s our own private little universe, it’s paradise, and it’s honestly the opportunity of a lifetime. With this extra time up our sleeve to really perfect the festival I have no doubt that this one will smoke all previous years out of the water,” he explains.

“I’ve always said, Jungle Love is way more than just a music festival. It’s the fun-loving, warm, open-minded community that make the pilgrimage each year in their sparkliest costumes that make it such a life-changing experience each and every year.” -Raymond Williams, Jungle Love Festival Director.
