Not long now
as some of the world’s best tribute acts
converge on JINDABYNE
this Easter long weekend
for the inaugural
THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE FESTIVAL
.
.
This Easter long weekend plans just got a whole lot better as Australia’s family friendly outdoor festival experience featuring some of the world’s best tribute artists will be taking place. All happening on the shores of Lake Jindabyne, NSW, on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of April 2022. The 14 day forecast is looking great and event organisers have confirmed the festival will be going ahead as planned.
The festival is fast approaching with only 5 days to go until the big show, so we encourage everyone to get excited and grab final tickets as this is one event not to be missed! And don’t forget there is time to jump onto thisisjustatribute.com.au and vote for the songs you want to hear. The top voted tracks is what the bands will play on the day. No B Sides, No rarities. Nuthin but the bangers!
THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE will offer a diverse range of music by some of the greats that could tickle just about anyone’s fancy with Australian Rock Collective (Davey Lane of You Am I, Kram of Spiderbait, Mark Wilson of Jet, and Darren Middleton of Powderfinger) headlining the festival playing songs from The Beatles.
Glorious views and a long weekend of leisure await in Jindabyne. The festival is located on the shores of Lake Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains, southeast NSW, approximately 450km southwest of Sydney. It is a 5.5 to 6 hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma, or 7 hours from Melbourne and an easy 2 hour drive from Canberra.
Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres said “This Is Just A Tribute is the first of its kind for Australia, signifying NSW’s commitment to securing world-class events like no other.”
.
.
“This is another spectacular festival added to our smorgasbord of new event offerings for regional NSW – from the Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash to This is Just a Tribute, we are turning up the volume on Australian live music and couldn’t be more excited to have secured this event for the next three years,” Mr Ayres said.
From 2022 until 2024, This is Just a Tribute is expected to attract more than 6,800 visitors and inject more than $3.8 million into the region’s shops, accommodation providers, cafes and restaurants.
This is a welcome boost for the Snowy Mountains visitor economy, which will reap the benefits of having thousands of additional visitors in town, injecting more dollars into the pockets of local businesspeople and creating more local job opportunities.
Ticket holders have the option to book and park at The Station, approximately a 5 minute drive from the venue for only $30 a day. This service includes a return shuttle service for all car occupants. THREDBO and The Station also have various accommodation options available on their websites.
Joining the lineup is Dave Eastgate – an actor, stand-up comedian, writer, musician and self confessed rock dog who will be hosting the event across both days and handling MC duties. He will also be inviting courageous audience members onto the stage to participate in a live Rockaoke competition.

About THE BOWIE UNZIPPED BAND
When Jeff Duff took refuge in England in the eighties, he had, as they say, worn out his welcome in Australian rock. He was simply too much of a handful, this ‘waif with a wharfie’s voice!’ camping it up out front of his trail-blazing rock ensemble ‘Kush‘. At the time, Jeff’s androgynous stage persona, dressed in leotards, garish make-up and a touch of the operatics was considered far too outrageous for many Australian audiences. Jeff’s longtime admiration for David Bowie eventually led him to stage the first ‘Ziggy’ show in the nineties, and now The Bowie Unzipped Band is regularly touring. The Bowie Unzipped Band features Australia’s best musicians including the legendary Jeff Duff on vocals and Glenn Rhodes on keyboards, bass and vocals, plus Australia’s finest drummers and guitarists.

AMNPLIFY – NB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
