Adelaide-based singer songwriter Justina Ward returns with her latest single ‘Be There’ on June 30. Having written this song at just thirteen years of age after the passing of her stepsister, this track is one of her rawest songs yet.
“This song is very special to me. Revisiting how I was trying to understand grief as a child has been quite confronting, but it’s so amazing to finally share this experience.” – Justina Ward
Justina has captured the hearts of fans with her unique blend of her melodic indie, pastoral, neo-folk and chamber pop style. Chronicling the early years of her childhood, ‘Be There’ pulls on your heart strings as it dives into themes of loss, heartbreak, denial and anger. The piano and orchestral accompaniment beautifully creates a sense of innocence and vulnerability. A feeling of pulsing tension throughout the song reproduces the circling feelings of grief and is layered by heart wrenching lyrics and haunting harmonies.
While Justina is laying the foundations of her music career, she continues to experiment with sounds, rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics. She is influenced by artists such as Alanis Morissette, Florence + The Machine & Tash Sultana.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
