Universal Music Australia is pleased to announce that Kanye West has debuted at #1 with his 10th. album DONDA on the official ARIA Album chart. DONDA is Kanye’s 4th number 1 album in Australia. Kanye also had 2 singles in the Top 5 of the ARIA charts and 19 of the 27 album tracks landed in the Top 50.
With his singles chart feat, West eclipses Taylor Swift’s old mark of 16 debuts in the Top 50 set in August 2020.
Also, he nabs the record for most tracks in the Top 50 in any one week, a record previously held by Post Malone and Michael Jackson, with 17 each.
Kanye West has captivated the world’s attention launching the album three different times at three different public listening parties with two in Atlanta and the final one in his hometown in Chicago.
DONDA comprises of 27 tracks featuring a feature list that boasts the likes of Jay Z, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Shenseea, The Lox, Kid Cudi and more.
