Award-winning singer songwriter Karin Page releases her debut album ‘Walk Away’ on November 1, a reflective collection of ten original songs that represent Karin’s thoughts about the world around her.

Also released on November 1 is the title track and third single, an achingly beautiful song about letting go of the things and people that no longer serve us.

Karin said, “Over the years, I have learnt that once you actually ‘Walk Away’ things really do start to look up.”

To celebrate her album release, Karin will be playing a WAMfest showcase on the day of the album release, and will also perform at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music from November 8-10.

Karin’s 2020 album tour will be announced soon and will kick off during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. The dates follow a recently wrapped 27 date national tour.

Jordan Power (Kasey Chambers, Angus Stone) produced ‘Walk Away’ and shades of blues, roots and country are all expertly weaved into the original sounds on the album.

First single ‘Box’ (featuring Ash Grunwald) was nominated for WAM Song of the Year in the Blues/Roots category and remains in The Music Network airplay chart after 16 weeks.

Second single ‘Jessie’ was co-written with Kevin Bennett and is about standing up for yourself. Karin also co-wrote with Emily Smith on the song ‘Shame’ and with Muscle Shoals (USA) gospel piano player Mark Narmore on ‘Time Travelling Gypsy’.

The seven other songs on ‘Walk Away’ were all written by Karin and they range from stories about true love on ‘Kings And Queens’ and ‘Loving Man’ – which also features guest vocals from Ash Grunwald and the Hussy Hicks – to a song called ‘Lonely Night’ about the disconnect we can feel from social media, through to the Motown feel of ‘Under My Skin’.

Karin already has an impressive array of Awards notched up after carving a name for herself across a number of releases, including her striking EP ‘Still Got You’. These include 2016 Star Maker Winner, 2017 WA Country Music Awards for both Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, and 2018 WA Country Music Awards for Single of the Year, Video of the Year and People’s Choice Award.
