Virginia-born, LA-based multidisciplinary artist Kate Bollinger will make her long-awaited Australian tour debut this January with headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
Having toured internationally alongside Faye Webster, Tennis, and Devendra Banhart, Bollinger has built a reputation for warm, wistful, and intimate live shows that blur the lines between indie pop, folk, and psychedelic rock.
Her acclaimed full-length debut Songs From A Thousand Frames of Mind (Ghostly International, 2024) earned widespread praise, described as “strikingly beautiful” by Stereogum and “an impeccable suite of quietly rich indie pop” by The FADER. Blending classic pop songcraft with covert punk instincts, she cites influences ranging from ’60s icons like Françoise Hardy and the Velvet Underground to ’90s touchpoints like Pavement and the Elephant 6 Collective. The result is a collage-like vision—evoking the feeling of flipping through your coolest friend’s record collection and discovering a new favorite at every turn.
Out today, Bollinger shares a new track from the forthcoming Deluxe Edition, “Lonely (Virginia Strings Version),” a lush reimagining of the original featuring a sweeping string section. The rest of the Deluxe album finds her revisiting past work from fresh angles. “I wanted to make some more kind of home-recorded versions of the songs,” Bollinger says. “Bring them closer to what they were when I first wrote them.”

On the Songs deluxe, Bollinger revisits past work from slightly different angles. “I wanted to make some more kind of home-recorded versions of the songs. Bring them closer to what they were when I first wrote them,” she adds. For “Any Day Now”, she and co-producer Jackson MacIntosh (Sheer Agony, TOPS, Homeshake) recorded a more sparse and intimate cassette 4-track version. A jangle-pop gem in its album form, the track is reimagined with layers of acoustic guitars and a barely-there snare drum.
Adding to an already momentous year, Bollinger also features on Cut Copy’s new single “Belong To You”, a dream collaboration that fuses her gossamer vocals with the Australian electronic pioneers’ luminous, dancefloor-ready sound.
With her debut Australian tour, the release of her Deluxe edition, and a new collaboration with Cut Copy, Kate Bollinger is set to make an unforgettable introduction to Australian audiences.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
