US psychedelic trio KHRUANGBIN have announced they will visit Australia for the first time in 2019, hitting Melbourne’s The Croxton Bandroom on Wednesday 13 March, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday 15 March, and Brisbane’s The Zoo on Saturday 16 March. The band will also perform at WOMADelaide, A Festival Called Panama and Golden Plains festivals.
The genre-defying Texan band released their sophomore album ‘CON TODO EL MUNDO’ at the start of this year, and embarked on sellout UK, European, and North American tours. Their live show has been hailed as “hypnotic” by The Skinny, and they earned the title of “trouble-shunning, sun-worshipping vibemasters” from NME. Australian audiences have patiently waited their turn to experience Khruangbin’s wild, Thai-funk-inspired surf rock – and now they’ll finally get the chance to hear these new critically acclaimed jams the way they were supposed to be heard: loud and in person.
Transitional and esoteric in sound, Khruangbin is built from a wide range of influences, from 1960’s funk scene in Thailand, Persian rock music, and 1980’s Algerian symphonia, with a dash of disco, soul, and Balearic music.
Since their 2015 debut album, ‘THE UNIVERSE SMILES UPON YOU’, Khruangbin has been propelled to stratospheric heights, playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, and Thailand’s Wonderfruit; and supported the likes of Father John Misty, Massive Attack, and Leon Bridges.
The eclectic influences of Khruangbin have earned them fans from all corners of the globe. Their debut Australian tour will be a mind-expanding live experience for local audiences.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
