Today, Sound International via Warner Music Australia, proudly debuts its first single, “Far From Home,” a dynamic collaboration between Ghanaian-Australian duo Kinder (Briony and Savannah Osei), Nigerian vocalist C-Mart, and Dutch producer David Mackay. Listen to “Far From Home” HERE.

Founded by Idris Elba in honor of his uncle’s 1980s Sound System, Sound International celebrates the open-minded philosophy that unites people through music, shining a spotlight on house music talent from across the globe and embracing the genre’s diverse, unifying spirit.

This collaboration exemplifies Sound International’s ethos: a celebration of house music’s boundless potential. Kinder’s vibrant production, Mackay’s polished afro house touch, and C-Mart’s soulful vocals have blended effortlessly to create a unique track that transcends borders, blending their distinct sounds into an evocative afro house anthem.

“This song means a lot to us”  Briony and Savannah of Kinder note on “Far From Home”. “It was made between Nigeria, Netherlands, London and Australia. The song touches on feeling lost or “far from home”, but at the same time finding strength through those people closest to you in your life. Reaching out to friends and family to ground you and support you even when they are not physically there. We have always been a little influenced by our Ghanaian heritage, but this song has really landed in a new space. Leaning into this sonic direction has really resonated a sense of home for us. It has become a natural and exciting evolution. We lost our dad last year and it kind of feels like we have made this one for him.”

On releasing their single via Idris Elba’s Sound International, the Kinder girls add “We are so grateful for Idris and the label. We admire everything he stands for as a person and what this label stands for. It has been the most wonderful experience working out of his studios in London and connecting with all the beautiful people that work there.”

The release of “Far From Home” comes fresh off the back of the new Australian Pepsi Max commercial. Directed by leading creative director Dave Meyers (Sabrina Carpenter, JLo, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar + more), the commercial features Kinder themselves and soundtracked by their single “Come Along”. Watch the commercial HERE.

Speaking on the collaboration, Kinder add “We were so honoured to be a part of the Pepsi campaign! We can remember being little girls and looking up to many of our idols who starred in the Pepsi commercials and it’s so surreal that we can now say we are in one too. We recall getting a call at 5am, only 4 days after moving to London, our manager was asking us if we could get back on a plane to Australia for a Pepsi shoot. By 10 am we were on a flight and shooting with Pepsi the next day. It was overwhelming but so worth it! It was a super cool experience working with Dave Meyers who we’re big fans of too!”

About KINDER

Having played the biggest stages on Australia’s EDM circuit and drawing inspiration from club sounds the world over, Ghanaian-Australian singer, songwriter and producer sibling duo Kinder (aka Savannah and Briony Osei) are primed to become two of the country’s most beloved homegrown stars.

In 2022, the Kinder girls shared their four-track EP “Yenko” bridging the gap between Kinder as artists, and Sav and Briony as people through their music, allowing the pair to share and celebrate the depth of their Ghanaian heritage with the world. Led by singles “Come Along (feat. A.GIRL)”, “Rasta (feat. Gold Fang)” and “Bus Stop”, these songs took them from clubs to festival stages. Their liberating follow-up EP “Akwaaba” which featured the celebratory “Keep Up” saw them find their feet experimenting with primal club music and deeper lyrical themes, having produced the project at Jono Ma’s studio in Byron Bay alongside Jonti Danilewitz.

2023 saw Kinder release remix tracks “Like It” and “This 1 Thing”, which were immediate fan favourites, shortly followed by “Lightyears”, recorded at Spotify Studios in Londin with UK Producer BCBC, which was the cannon firing that signified the beginning of Briony and Savannah Osei’s new chapter.

The duo have since taken the Aussie dance music scene by storm, hustling for a series of stellar wins including their unforgettable triple j Like A Version of Nelly Furtado’s “Say It Right”, DJ-ing the Vogue x Barbie event, performing at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and delivering remixes for Stevan and Budjerah. They’ve supported some of dance music’s biggest names including Marshmello, RL Grime, and Elderbrook, and played some of the country’s biggest festivals like Splendour In The Grass, Dark Mofo, Spilt Milk, Listen Out, Out Of The Woods, and many more.

Stay tuned for more to come from Kinder.
