Praise for KINGSWOOD
“Fusing the sprinklings of Queen’s rock bravado in with the leather-clad swagged out rock of Queens of The Stone Age, and you’ve got a rough image of where Kingswood sit in this new chapter of theirs.” – Triple J
“Featuring the group at their rockin’ best, ‘Bittersweet’ is raw, uncut Kingswood…” – ToneDeaf
“Kingswood gives you a little something extra – it makes your body move, your fists clench, and your shoulders pull back as your hands itch to drum along on the dashboard.” – Heavy Mag

With their new album in tow, Kingswood will be touring Australia from March through into June, providing fans and newcomers alike a wealth of opportunities to see the band flex a live band muscle like never before. Tickets are selling fast with limited tickets available for Melbourne.
After a rollercoaster journey of emotional maturing and creative rejuvenation, JUVENILES – the new studio album from KINGSWOOD – is finally here.
Despite what the album title may suggest, the new album from the Melbourne group is anything but juvenile in its creation and delivery. Harnessing the raucous and wild energy of previous releases, and marrying it with a honed and refined sense of musicianship and direction, Kingswood’s third studio album is a snapshot of a band operating at a fiery creative peak.
Introducing listeners to their new stable of material at the tailend of 2019 (‘Say You Remember’, ‘You Make It So Easy’) and more recently with their single ‘Bittersweet’, Kingswood detail a rediscovery of their identity with honesty and passion making this their strongest album yet.
“New found inspiration infectiously made its way into the band psychology and drew a trajectory that was clearly left of centre for us. Continue, we did, down this path of flourishing, not necessarily rejecting our history, but rather opting for and championing the road less travelled.” Alex Laska

Written across the UK, US and Europe, Juveniles is a portrait of the strong songwriting dynamic between Alex Laska and Fergus Linacre. Sharing lead vocal duties and weaving their own individual influences in amongst those shared brings with it deft use of light and shade (‘Cross My Heart’, ‘If Only’). The path towards the final stages of getting Juveniles together was not smooth, forcing the duo to return to the drawing board and start over.
“We had so many songs that we were immensely proud of, but we started to realise that it didn’t feel like Kingswood. Music isn’t just something we are half good at that gets us by, it is everything. It is so important to us that we won’t let a deadline or a strategy dictate when we are finished. So we scrapped the lot, and went home to start again.” Ferg Linacre
Whether it’s ‘Cigarettes In Bed’, the enticing ‘Snake Pit’ or ‘One More Dance’, listeners get an insight into the many different facets of Kingswood’s new output as creatives. The original influences remain but this is most certainly a band making music beneath a new spotlight.
Completing the album in the band’s second home of Nashville with Eddie Spear, Kingswood solidified the album in clear headspaces, with the drive to explore themes of love, loss and desire candidly and with more intensity than before. Like After Hours, Close To Dawn and Microscopic Wars before it, Juveniles is a record born out of an intrinsic love for guitars, percussion and insatiable rhythms. Toeing the line of seductive and bombastic, Kingswood have proven masters of their riffs and rhythms, with Juveniles bringing authenticity in spades.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
