As 2018 nears the halfway point, Sydney based artist Kwame has shown little sign in slowing down in what has been a meteoric rise to the forefront of hip hop in Australia.

Since releasing his breakout single WOW and brilliant EP Endless Conversations. The 20 year old has gone on to sell out shows at Sydney’s The Lair and garnered the attention of Australian duo Peking Duk, which recently led to him supporting them across their largest tour to date.

From playing house parties and local venues to crowds at multiple sold out Horden Pavillion’s and the like.

Aside from the success he has had on the live circuit, Kwame is one of the few up and coming Urban acts to have recently achieved 1,000,000 streams on Spotify, which is no small feat and places him alongside the likes of Manu Crooks and Carmouflage Rose.

Known for his sense of humour and incredible word play, its no wonder that today we learn that he is a master of conveying this visually as he drops the clip to WOW via national broadcaster platform Unearthed. A simple yet extremely effective and interesting clip he shot with some friends at their home in Western Sydney…the DIY adage is clear and executed seamlessly.

With the Peking Duk tour wrapping up just last week, Kwame has also announced a one off show as part of Vivid 2018. Now last time he did this, there were over 2,000 people that couldn’t get into the coveted show. Take it on good authority that if you want to experience Endless Conversations. in such an intimate setting, it would be wise to get down early. It is likely to not happen again.

The year isn’t over and all we can say is “watch this space” as there are no plans to slow down.
