IT’S OFFICIAL… KYGO’S SYDNEY SHOW HAS SOLD OUT!
+ CONRAD SEWELL & FRANK WALKER JOIN AUSTRALIAN 2018 TOUR
.
Norwegian house music prodigy KYGO, who returns to Australia in just two months has just sold out his set-to-be-massive show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Friday October 19! Final tickets remain for his show at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday October 20. The tropical house juggernaut will be joined by special guests, including Australia’s very own platinum-selling singer and songwriter Conrad Sewell and Canadian electronic producer Frank Walker.
Kygo broke through with a sound coined as ‘tropical house’ a brighter, more relaxed style than that of his commercial dance music contemporaries, Kygo, born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, has gone from bedroom producer and pianist to one of the most hyped artists on the planet in an unprecedented amount of time.
The Avicii-inspired producer and DJ first reached #1 on Norway’s VG-lista chart in 2013 with his slow-galloping remix of Seinabo Sey’s ‘Younger’ – and it wasn’t long before that he signed a global recording deal and released his first proper single, ‘Firestone’ featuring Australia’s very own singer/songwriter, Conrad Sewell. Crowned as Spotify’s ‘Breakout Artist of 2015’, his party-starting hits ‘Firestone (feat. Conrad Sewell)’ and ‘Stole The Show (feat. Parson James)’ clocked up gold or platinum certifications in over sixteen countries, propelling him to become the fastest artist to reach 1 billion streams on the platform – and currently 25th most listened to Artist on Spotify globally.
These, along with additional singles that featured Labrinth, Kodaline and James Vincent McMorrow, preceded his debut full-length LP “Cloud Nine” – again reaching #1in charts across Europe and North America – dubbed “unfailing gorgeous” by Rolling Stone. Continually churning out festival and dancefloor hits, Kygo’s track ‘It Ain’t Me’ featuring Selena Gomez reached Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassed more than 700 million streams on Spotify alone – with USA Today declaring it one of 2017’s official songs of the summer.
The 26-year old producer has travelled his way across the globe, performing to huge crowds in Israel, India, Canada the United States and more – playing (and selling out) venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and California’s Greek Theatre – plus festival appearances in Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Hong Kong for festivals like Ultra and Lollapalooza and a summer residency Ibiza. In 2016, he became the first house music producer to ever perform at an Olympic ceremony – closing out the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Joining Kygo in both Sydney and Melbourne includes Australian-raised and Los Angeles-based ARIAA Award-winning singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell. Having quickly ascended to international renown, by first nabbing the coveted “Song of the Year” in the 2015 ARIAA Awards for his breakout solo single ‘Start Again’, the 30-year old has been proclaimed to be “Australia’s next great pop export” by Nylon magazine. His next hit ‘Hold Me Up’ clocked over 53 million streams on Spotify – placing him on tour with Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5. His collaboration with Kygo on ‘Firestone’ accrued nearly 1 billion streams, entertaining audiences from Coachella to Madison Square Garden and back home to Australia – where he is about to kick off his own national tour this September.
Also joining the fun is Canada’s Frank Walker – a ground-breaking producer hailing from Toronto. Frank Walkers rapid rise has gained him notoriety as being electronic music’s next colossal player. After the release of his long-awaited debut EP “24” in 2017, Frank experienced an unprecedented rise – playing the main stage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami to joining Kygo in Ibiza – the 20-something producer will now make his Australian debut, sharing the stage alongside Kygo and Conrad Sewell this October.
With Kygo’s dominating success winning over the support of fans across the globe, his consistently HUGE shows draw crowds for an epic live show complete, with a mesmerizing display of lights, lasers and tropical house realness – a return to Australia expected to be nothing short of epic.
