Lady Blackbird has shared her brand new single ‘It’ll Never Happen Again’, lifted from her highly anticipated debut album Black Acid Soul, due for its long-awaited release on September 3 via BMG.
‘It’ll Never Happen Again‘ is a gentle, yet powerful, reinvention of another poignant obscurity written by Tim Hardin and which first appeared on the folk singer’s seminal 1966 debut.
Forthright as ever, Lady Blackbird admits, “I didn’t know how to give it some power or personality at first. But then I tried it, it was a beautiful session, and it’s ended up one of my favourites on the album. It just sounds magical.”

With a voice that has stopped critics in their tracks, Lady Blackbird is a revelatory new talent with music that transcends the jazz scene through which the LA-based artist is rooted. Reflecting influences as varied as Billie Holiday, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner and Chaka Khan, with critics drawing comparisons to Adele, Amy and Celeste, Lady Blackbird’s distinct and beguiling talent is not one to be missed.
Mesmerising musicians and tastemakers alike, Marley (aka Lady Blackbird) was invited to perform a stunning rendition of ‘Angel Dream’ at the late Tom Petty’s 70th birthday tribute. Honouring the greats has come as a musical process to Marley, having recorded her highly anticipated debut album Black Acid Soul in legendary Studio B (Prince’s room) in Sunset Sound, produced by Grammy-nominated Chris Seefried.

AMNPLIFY – TC
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
