TRIPLE J
unearthed winners

Laneway Festival is thrilled to welcome five emerging artists handpicked by triple j Unearthed, joining the lineup across Australia this February. Each year, the Unearthed comp spotlights the country’s most exciting new voices — artists primed to become future Laneway Festival favourites.
The winners will join the Laneway Festival 2026 lineup in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, performing alongside Chappell Roan, Role Model, Wolf Alice, PinkPantheress, Alex G, Lucy Dacus, Yung Lean & Bladee, and more of the most exciting local and international artists of the moment.
Laneway Festival Head of Programming, Travis Banko, says “Laneway and triple j Unearthed share a genuine love of supporting artists at early, pivotal moments in their careers. This year’s winners each bring something new to the 2026 lineup, and we’re incredibly proud to help spotlight them.”

INTRODUCING…

Mid Drift
QLD – Mid Drift
Sun-bleached, indie surf rock with hooks you can’t shake. Mid Drift deliver warm, jangly guitar lines and nostalgia-kissed melodies built for summer festival sets. One listen and it’s clear that they’re Queensland’s next big thing.

Charli Lucas
NSW – CHARLI LUCAS
A magnetic storyteller with diaristic pop instincts and a voice that feels both intimate and expansive. Charli Lucas has been steadily building buzz with her confessional songwriting and dynamic live presence — a rising force in Australia’s alt-pop landscape.

Sleepazoid
VIC – Sleepazoid
sleepazoid are an alt-rock quintet blending the raw energy of grunge, the haze of shoegaze and the pulse of post-punk. Their self-recorded 2024 debut running with the dogs is a striking statement of intent — equally heavy and hypnotic. Catch them at Laneway Melbourne in 2026.

Pash
SA – PASH
A punchy pop-rock four-piece blending sharp hooks, bright guitars and easy, electric chemistry. PASH will bring a fresh, carefree edge to the Laneway stage — big choruses, big energy, big feelings, and zero pretence.

ULLAH-9
WA – ULLAH
A magnetic Perth artist blending soul, R&B and alt-pop with stunning emotional depth. Ullah’s vocal tone is instantly arresting, and her songwriting sits at the intersection of vulnerability and strength. A breakout moment is incoming.

About LANEWAY FESTIVAL
Laneway Festival began in 2004 at St. Jerome’s Bar — a tiny, ex-Swedish meatball shop turned speakeasy hidden down Melbourne’s Caledonian Lane. Opened by Jerome Borazio as a hangout for friends, the bar quickly became a hub for like-minded music lovers. When friend and music booker Danny Rogers returned from New York, the pair decided to put on Sunday gigs in the bar’s back yard.
By February 2005, the Summer Series had spilled into the laneway itself. Posters were printed, restaurants sold food out their back doors, and a makeshift stage was thrown up at one end of the alley. The sold-out street party had no production manager, few rules, and an entire community behind it. A festival was born.
Twenty-one years later, Laneway Festival is one of the most loved and respected live music events across Australia and New Zealand — a tastemaker festival renowned for discovery, community, and championing the most exciting artists from around the world.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
