wraps with biggest crowds ever“Within the live music sector, one of the purest living illustrations of ‘from little things, big things grow’ is Laneway Festival, which is now among the nation’s biggest travelling music events.” – The Australian
“Laneway Festival is another that has enjoyed long-term success by keeping a consistent identity – it’s known for hosting international artists who have limited experience with Australian audiences.” – The Saturday Paper
That’s a wrap on Laneway Festival for 2024! The Trans-Tasman touring festival is extremely grateful to have welcomed over 125,000 people through the Laneway Festival gates this year, making it the most successful festival in the event’s 19-year history. This weekend in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth, record-breaking crowds showed up to celebrate with the class of Laneway ‘24.
From its humble beginnings in Melbourne’s New Caledonian Lane, over the last two decades, Laneway Festival has gone from strength to strength all while maintaining its reputation as one of Australia’s leading tastemaker festivals. This year, Laneway Festival was proud to bring over a third of the lineup to Australia for the very first time, alongside incredible artists at the top of their game like Stormzy, Dominic Fike, Steve Lacy and Raye.
Laneway Festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio say, “To see so many young music fans connecting to their favourite artists and discovering new talent was nothing short of electrifying. This Laneway Festival goes down in the history books as the biggest crowds we’ve ever had and we’re immensely proud of our remarkable team who have helped deliver six brilliant and safe events over the past fortnight. On behalf of the entire Laneway family, we thank our partners, all of the phenomenal artists and most importantly the fans who came out to celebrate them. We are truly grateful and inspired. Bring on 25! “
The 2024 lineup brought countless goosebump-inducing moments to Laneway Festival. Stormzy made his long-awaited Australian return with an unforgettable, hour-long set with the biggest production to ever appear at Laneway Festival – pyrotechnics, confetti and celebratory fireworks. The wildly popular and charismatic Dominic Fike was a fan favourite with crowds gathering as far as the eye could see for his golden hour set.
Amongst the Laneway Festival inner circle, Paris Texas was constantly talked about. With undeniable energy and an infectious command over Laneway Festival crowds, they brought one of the best sets of the festival. Texan teen prodigy d4vd treated fans to onstage parkour and a special sing-a-long moment with his little sister during hit song ‘Here With Me’. British pop star Raye showed Australian fans exactly why she holds the record for the most Brit Award nominations in a single year.
The festival’s electronic music stage, Everything Ecstatic, brought high energy dance moments to the weekend, with highlights including UK neo-junglist Nia Archives, South Sudan-born, France-based DJ Skin on Skin and Berlin’s horsegiirL_ who had Melbourne crowds spilling out the edge of the tent.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
