The Laneway Festival and The 1975 are thrilled to announce that lead singer Matt Healy has recovered from his previously announced illness in time to perform at today’s Laneway Festival in the Domain, Sydney. Matt posted on Twitter this morning: “Guys thank you for all your lovely wishes :) I am alive and well shit just got way too vibey I’m still taking it easy but I’ll see you tonight for maybe quite a calm set which could be nice anyway!!”
Laneway is also excited to welcome the excellent CUB SPORT to today’s line-up. The alt-pop four-piece have amassed millions of streams over three albums, made numerous appearances in triple j’s Hottest 100 (including the #73 spot for 2019’s Party Pill) and won over heaps of fans for their charismatic live show. We hear they’ll be joined by a VERY special guest, who may or may not have appeared in the pointy end of the most recent Hottest 100 poll. Catch them at 7.15pm on the Future Classic stage.
Despite the last minute cancellation, the Brisbane Laneway Festival yesterday was an amazing, sunny day with 25,000+ festival-goers enjoying A-grade sets from Tones & I, Benee, Earl Sweatshirt and more. Hit the Laneway socials for all the pics and action from the event.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
