record-breaking return; Adelaide, Melbourne
and Perth up next
“Laneway is back with a bang” – Sydney Morning Herald, ★★★★
“Slickly run, well executed and confidently putting its best foot forward… Laneway feels hopeful. Not only can this be done, but it can also be done well – maybe even better than it’s ever been.” – The Music
The first weekend of Laneway Festival in three years has broken records with a total of 46,000 people in attendance at the Brisbane and Sydney editions of the national touring festival.
Laneway Festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio said, “This weekend was a really special one – the first Laneway Festival in three years. It was awesome to see new festival goers attending for the first time ever and our regular fans returning to support us and the incredible 2023 line-up.”
Many of the world’s most exciting artists hit the Laneway stages over the weekend, some of them making their debut performances in Australia. The fastest-rising electronic act in the world, Fred again.. gave festival goers an all-encompassing, euphoric experience that they will truly never forget. Phoebe Bridgers had the crowd screaming along with her during I Know The End, while the world’s favourite sibling group Haim closed out the festival with their signature slick indie-rock and utterly joyful choreography.
The highlights throughout the day were endless. However, some of the most talked about performances include slowthai’s packed-out, high energy set, and girl in red who was an early contender for the largest crowd. Plus, the performance that got everyone raving about the Everything Ecstatic stage: Chaos in the CBD.
This weekend, the national touring Laneway Festival heads to three brand new venues in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth to keep the good times rolling! In Adelaide, we kick weekend two off at Bonython Park, the most beautiful of Adelaide’s city parks. We’re headed to The Park, Flemington in Melbourne, while Laneway Festival Perth rounds out the tour at the expansively green Wellington Square.
With lots of shade and grass, state-of-the-art sound systems, the most delicious food vendors each city has to offer and one of our favourite line-ups ever, Laneway Festival punters are in for the best of times.
Grammy-nominated Baltimore punk band Turnstile are making their way back to Australia for the second leg of the Laneway Festival, and we can’t wait for them to join the already stacked line-up with their infectious live show.
A limited number of tickets are available in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth HERE. You don’t want to miss this!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
