Performing at Hudson Ballroom in Sydney next Friday, followed by an appearance at boutique festival Secret Garden, multi-instrumentalist LANKS has revealed an incredible flip of single ‘My Own Mystery.’ A collaboration with singer-songwriter Ngaiire, the exquisite rework follows the support announce for his east coast tour this February.  Joining him across all dates is 2018 triple j Unearthed One To Watch Samsaruh, with JEFFE, Eliottand Meredith stepping up as local supports in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Tickets on-sale now.

Building upon the delicate electronic layers featured in the original, LANKS says “Experimentation is such a key part of what I do. I wanted to take My Own Mystery to another world and see what I could do with it. As soon as the first few puzzle pieces clicked into place a flow of excitement took over and it all formed very easily. I had so much fun telling the story in a different way. It’s meant to be fun you know.“

LANKS’ debut release on brand new Melbourne based label, THAA Records, ‘My Own Mystery’ follows the release of ‘Comfortable’ and a multitude of sold-out live dates last year. Penned in Vietnam and whilst finishing the second half of his debut album, the track depicts the emotions of being separated from a loved one. With a support slot on her national ‘Blastoma’ album tour last year, LANKS brought on Ngaiire for female lead vocals describing her as “one of the biggest and most stunning voices in Australia.”

Having released EP Viet Rose in 2016, which featured acclaimed singles ‘Bitter Leaf’ and ‘Holla’, LANKS’ debut album is set for release this year. With a distinct, vibrant live set, LANKS has toured with acts such as RÜFÜS, Vera Blue, Glass Animals, Toro y Moi, as well as a guest appearance for both Kilter and The Kite String Tangle.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.

Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
