Australian pop artist LAU puts her own spin on Sneaky Sound System’s platinum single “UFO,” transforming the iconic track into the sleek, modern anthem it always deserved to be. With her signature dark-pop edge and fearless energy, LAU turns nostalgia into something undeniably fresh.

LAU continues her momentum following the success of her recent single “Drippin,” which has surpassed half a million streams in just a few weeks. Her previous singles, “INMYHEAD,” “Dancing in the Dark,” and “Pitiful Bitch” all charted in the iTunes Top 100 in Sweden and have also seen chart success in Brazil, the United States, and Australia with Supernova and Devil I Know cementing her status as one of the country’s most exciting independent pop artists.

“One night while driving home, I remembered an Australian classic and thought how fun it would be to bring it into the LAU world with my own spin. I’ve always wanted to release a cover, and I love that it is an Aussie song I grew up singing to.” LAU says.

Produced by Australian songwriter/producer James Guido (Jude York, Aria Hall of Fame The Tierney Bros), the track pairs bold, futuristic production with LAU’s, edgy vocals, giving the classic a polished, contemporary sound.

Looking ahead, LAU is set to release a new single in February, promising more of her signature edgy, dark-pop energy. She’ll also be performing live over the summer, with shows planned across Australia, giving fans a taste of her electrifying stage presence.

LAU’s ascent began with her debut single “Dead To Me” in 2021, followed by the viral success of “INMYHEAD,” which has now accumulated over 10 million views and secured international chart recognition in Sweden and France. Subsequent releases, including “Pitiful Bitch” and “Dancing in the Dark” (praised by Rolling Stone), reinforced her reputation for unflinching storytelling and dynamic production.

In 2025, LAU achieved a major milestone with her single “Drippin’,” surpassing half a million streams in just weeks and placing her among the top 2% of artists across Oceania. Expanding her global reach, she collaborated with New York DJ Pinkloud on “In The Dark,” which charted across South America’s Dance charts and highlighted her growing influence beyond Australian borders. Supported by national airplay on Triple J, Nova, SYN Media, and Triple R. LAU continues to create a world that is both cinematic and deeply personal.
