Laura Marling today announces a Guitar Lesson competition exclusive to her Australian audience, to celebrate the physical release of her stunning seventh record Song For Our Daughter.
Three fans will join an exclusive online face-to-face session with Laura, where they will run through one of the songs taken from the critically acclaimed record. Fans can enter by ordering Song For Our Daughter here. The competition is open from 8am Friday, 7 August to 5pm Friday, 14 August (all times AEST) and winners will be notified on Monday 17 August. For more information, head HERE.
The announcement follows on from the recently released stripped back, acoustic recording of ‘Fortune‘: a track lifted from, Song For Our Daughter, which made the 2020 Mercury Prize Shortlist (with only 12 other candidates), marking Laura’s fourth nomination to date.
Released in April this year, almost without warning and amidst the global chaos, the exquisite record, which was engineered and produced by Dom Monks and Ethan Johns (Once I Was An Eagle, A Creature I Don’t Know, I Speak Because I Can) has earned plaudits from both fans and media alike. The new collection received universal praise and breathless reviews from The Guardian [5 stars], NME [5 stars], The Australian [4 stars], The Daily Telegraph, The New York Times and NPR, to name but a few.
The album is available to stream/download now or order physically here

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
