Legendary streets of
London singer-songwriter
RALPH McTELL
returns to Australia for
his farewell tour
SOMEWHERE DOWN THE ROAD
in May
It will be 50 years since Ralph McTell first toured Australia and he is now returning for one final farewell tour. The UK musical legend will perform much-loved work from an illustrious career which spans over six decades, armed simply with his songs, his guitar and his stories. The iconic “Streets of London” singer-songwriter will travel the country, performing at 6 venues across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Australian Capital Territory.
An unassuming singer-songwriter, McTell is a prolific touring and recording artist with a knack for illuminating the present and the road ahead with a strong connection to a shared, storied past. Audiences all over the world are still drawn to his timeless classic Streets of London which catapulted him to global fame. The melodic beauty and cold hard truth of the song keeps it, sadly, forever relevant.
An accomplished raconteur, McTell also tells incredible life stories. From hitch hiking with Rod, ‘The Mod’ Stewart, playing Isle of Wight Festival alongside Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone, a crap game with Tom Waits in LA, to his Ivor Novello award, an impromptu meeting with the President of Ireland and a trip to the BBC show The Repair Shop with a somewhat ragged kangaroo.
But it’s McTell’s excellence as finger picking guitarist and writer of crafted, empathetic songs that has always guided him. His work has found a home in Ireland where his revered song ‘From Clare to Here’ has been repeatedly mistaken for a traditional piece.
With a life’s worth of writing to choose from, McTell’s audience will be treated to not simply an autobiography of songs and stories, but a reflection of an epoque from a quintessentially English singer songwriter.
Prepare to be enthralled!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
