LIME GREEN FESTIVAL
Lovable brotherly duo Oli and Louis Leimbach of Lime Cordiale are fiercely passionate about two things – live music and the environment. They have been busily working on an initiative to bring these two passions together, today announcing the Lime Green Festival.
In partnership with Chugg Music, Lime Green Festival is a bold experiment in what the future of live music can look like when climate action is placed at the centre of the experience. Designed as a 100% off-grid event, the festival is built on a commitment to reducing environmental impact while still delivering a vibrant, high-quality day of music, culture and connection.
Taking place in Adelaide on 18 April at Point Malcolm Reserve, Lime Green is more than just a music festival. It is a community-driven, forward-thinking platform that invites audiences to engage, learn and imagine new possibilities for how live events can operate in a more regenerative way. Lime Cordiale are striving to make this work off grid and believe it’s a model that can be successful in regional SA – or anywhere in Australia!
Oli and Louis said; “From the accelerating loss of polar ice to the devastating algal blooms currently choking the South Australian coast, it is impossible to ignore that our climate is at a breaking point. For the last five years, we’ve wrestled with a deep, personal dilemma as environmentalists: Is our touring contributing to the problem? Does it still make sense in a world that’s hurting? Should we continue to tour at all?
We’ve decided that the answer isn’t to stop, but to change. Live music is about the vital connection between people, and we believe that connection is exactly what we need to fuel a new way of doing things. Our aim is to stage the greenest music festival Australia has ever seen—rethinking everything from renewable stage power and transport to how we handle food and human waste.”

THE LINE UP
The Lime Green Festival will feature a carefully balanced program of live performances, inspiring talks, interactive workshops and activations that spotlight community and business leaders and innovators from the growing regenerative movement. The music line-up boasts established Australian talent, along with pathways to showcase emerging and local artists, featuring;
Lime Cordiale, The Dreggs, aleksiah, PASH plus triple j Unearthed WinnerLime Cordiale formed as a duo in their teenage years in 2009, with brothers Oli and Louis releasing their debut EP in 2012. They’ve gone on to release multiple albums, boast 12 ARIA nominations and 2 wins, and have toured the world relentlessly. With smash albums including 14 Steps To A Better You and Enough Of The Sweet Talk, Lime Cordiale deliver incredible energy to their colourful live show with tracks like “Robbery”, “Inappropriate Behaviour”, “Facts Of Life” and “Colin” bringing an infectious joy to the crowd.
A staple in Australia’s thriving indie-folk scene, The Dreggs have rapidly become one of the country’s most exciting live acts. From pub gigs between surf sessions in their hometown on the Sunshine Coast, to selling out crowds across Australia and beyond, The Dreggs offer high energy, sing along shows whenever they hit the stage.
2025 saw a year of back-to-back pop smash hits released by Adelaide singer songwriter aleksiah, who has spent the last 12 months touring the world, garnering industry praise and a plethora of adoring fans alike. She has taken to the stage at Primavera Pro, has supported artists including Kelsea Ballerini and Midnight Till Morning and sold out her own headline shows in London and across Europe.
Up and coming local four piece PASH describe themselves as the sonic love child of INXS and The 1975. They have had a fast paced rise, quickly building a dedicated fan base and signing a global distribution deal and have plenty in the pipeline for 2026. Championing emerging talent, Lime Cordiale are offering opportunities for local artists to take to the stage, with one spot for an artist that they will hand pick, another through the partnership with triple j’s Unearthed program and a final spot to be determined by event sponsor City of Charles Sturt.

GREEN INITIATIVES
The big experiment is running the main stage and perhaps the entire festival off-grid. This is thanks to a bold partnership with Aggreko, one of the world’s largest providers of mobile, industrial-scale batteries backed by vegetable-oil generators. The festival will have a strong emphasis on eliminating plastic and prioritising low-impact systems such as re-use and renewable catering solutions, solar and bike-powered device charging, upcycled merch (even some made from seaweed) and ways to encourage everyone to embrace low-emission ways to get to the festival. We’ll also have an impact management plan.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Food and beverage offerings are carefully curated to prioritise local, organic and carbon-neutral vendors, reinforcing the festival’s dedication to responsible consumption without compromising on quality or creativity and if there’s anything left over, donating food waste to charities. There will also be free drinking water on site.
COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
Fundamental to the Lime Green festival ethos is to raise both awareness and funds for various climate and nature focused initiatives. The Solar Slice is a world-leading environmental ticketing initiative led by FEAT. where $1 from live music tickets funds science-backed, climate and nature-based projects that cut emissions, restore natural ecosystems, and accelerate the shift to a safe climate future.
Oli and Lou have applied the Solar Slice across four national Australian tours since 2021; enabling them to tour in electric 12-seater vans, power their tour bus with biodiesel, restore Old Growth remnant rainforests in the Booyong Nature Reserve, advocate for World Heritage status for the Great Australian Bight, and support the First Nations-led restoration of Lungtalanana island in the Bass Strait.
The $1 Solar Slice” from every ticket sold to Lime Green will go to support a South Australian community-led response to the algal bloom. Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison said “The environmental initiative Lime Cordiale has shown is a significant step forward for the arts industry and our planet.
It is not just a coincidence that these innovative musicians have chosen South Australia to test out this bold experiment, with the Lime Green Festival adding to a long list of climate action initiatives our Government has supported. This is also music to the ears of communities and businesses previously impacted by the algal bloom, as the Lime Green Festival will attract music-lovers down to our coast and raise important dollars for response programs.
Minister for Climate, Environment and Water Lucy Hood added “South Australia is a world leader in renewable energy and we welcome bold ideas from different sectors that tackle climate change. Supporting our coastal communities continues to be a key focus and this initiative is set to hit the right note.”
Oli and Louis encourage you to join this unique festival experience that honours the land and waters of the Kaurna people, traditional custodians of the Adelaide Plains. “This is a genuine attempt to discover what is possible. We aren’t claiming to be perfect; we will make mistakes along the way, but we are trying. We’re inviting you to be part of this experiment. Come and hear some incredible Aussie music, but also come to see what a different future looks like. Let’s find out what we can achieve, together.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
