Palaces, the epic and expansive new album from Grammy-winning artist Flume, is at last out today on Future Classic —listen/share HERE, and tune in HERE at 2pm AEST 20 May to watch a full album visualiser by creative director Jonathan Zawada, directors Michael Hili and Daniel Askill and illustrator Ram Han.
The album features the previously shared ‘Say Nothing’ with MAY-A, ’Sirens’ with Caroline Polachek and co-written and co-produced with Danny L Harle, ’Palaces’ with Damon Albarn and ’ESCAPE’ with Kučka and Quiet Bison. Further guests on the album include Spain’s Virgen Maria, France’s Oklou, British singer LAUREL and fellow Australian-native Emma Louise.
Much of the record was premiered live onstage during a bewitching nightfall set at last month’s Coachella, including a kaleidoscopic run of surprise guests such as the aforementioned Albarn, Polachek and Kučka, plus Beck, Toro Y Moi, Tove Lo and Vince Staples. The performance was globally streamed both weekends via YouTube, reaching hundreds of thousands of people around the world, not only showcasing the jaw-dropping grace and majesty of an all-new stage-show and production, but also unveiling a groundbreaking and breathtaking integration of AR (as documented via Time Magazine).

More about
FLUME and PALACES
Palaces began to take shape when Flume returned to his native Australia after struggling to write music in Los Angeles at the beginning of the pandemic. He settled in a coastal town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and soon found inspiration through reconnecting with the nature around him—the rolling hills, walking around barefoot, the green colour the sky turns before a big storm, growing and eating his own vegetables, the smell of rain. He and his neighbour and longtime collaborator, the visual artist Jonathan Zawada, became fascinated by the local wildlife, in particular the birds, collecting field recordings that ended up on the album. With a title that properly highlights the luxury and magic of the natural world, Palaces is Flume’s most confident, mature and uncompromising work to date, a true testament to nurturing the relationships that make us whole and bring us peace.
Flume (born Harley Streten) rose to prominence as a teenager with his self-titled 2012 debut album, which established him as an international sensation. His 2016 LP Skin achieved Platinum certification around the world and earned him his first Grammy Award for Best/Dance Electronic Album. He went on to sell over 300,000 tickets globally across a sold out, 59-date world tour that year, with headlining sets at Reading & Leeds Festivals and the famed Alexandra Palace. In 2019, Flume’s acclaimed Hi This Is Flume mixtape earned him his second Best Dance/Electronic Album Grammy nomination and he played lineup topping sets at festivals worldwide including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Outside Lands, Japan’s Summersonic, Italy’s C2C and more.
To mark the new album release, a fresh line of merchandise is available for purchase here, alongside special physical editions of Palaces available for pre-order now, including vinyl, limited-edition deluxe CD (with initial orders signed by the artist), standard CD and cassette

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
