After releasing their first single “Yellow Cup” which was added to ABC country high rotation straight off the bat, Australian folk-rock duo Little Georgia have captured the ears of many listeners around the globe. After spending the last 3 years on the road, the pair have knuckled down to present you a debut studio album out now, with offering the second single titled “Stoned”.
“Stoned was written in a moment of solitude at Justin’s farm in SouthWest Victoria. The theme of the song is a choice of escape from the chaos and selfishness of the fast paced world we are living in.” explains the duo.
Recorded in La Cueva Recording in Byron Bay, along with the rest of the album it was produced and mixed by Nick DiDia (Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Powderfinger). Didia also lent his hand in playing some keys, percussion and bass on the album which rounded out the lineup with Oscar Henfrey on drums and Jimmy Staayer on bass guitar.
Since releasing their debut album “Bootleg” a acoustic album recorded in a farmhouse in 2016, the duo have performed at venues and festivals throughout Australia and North America including appearances at Americana Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, and most recently a second consecutive appearance at Byron Bay Blues Festival.
Their time on the road has seen them open shows for Mia Dyson, Ryan Bingham(USA), Jamestown Revival (USA) and The Record Company (USA).
