Singer and guitarist Abby Toole comments, “Being onstage has been my greatest joy, most empowered & most freeing place when I’ve needed it in my life. No matter where we are or who we’re playing to, I have always felt this unspoken understanding between us and the audience. This song has become our big finale song to our shows so we love to jump around and get people up for this one. The ones that dance also references quotes in each verse that both of my parents said to me growing up. These lines are little phrases I’ve carried so I thought this was the perfect love song to put them in.”
For the accompanying video the band put a call out to their fans to get involved and they delivered their best dance moves. “We wanted this clip to be a reenactment of an awkward, dance audition in a town hall. We had lots of amazing fans show up and give us their best moves, and we dressed as eccentric characters (including a pea costume) and danced our hearts out in front of the Little Quirks judges.”

The band comment, “It was a wonderfully exhausting day and I don’t think any of us have ever been so sore from a music video, but it was so very worth it. ‘The Ones That Dance’ invites people in to dance like nobody’s watching and I think this video embodies that metaphor.”
Spirited and uplifting yet also incredibly heartfelt and real, Little Quirks’ debut self-titled LP captures the essence of life itself.
“We have always considered ourselves as folk-rock, but this new album has more of an indie-rock approach so it’s definitely a mix of the two genres. The songs for the album have been written over a period of 2 years and lyrically deal with more personal themes (relationships/break ups) which is quite a new topic for us. A few songs also touch on the idea of escapism and storytelling through a fictional lense. Over the years ‘escaping reality’ has become a reoccurring theme in our song writing in general so this is still quite on brand for us.”
Press pause on your woes and surrender to the healing, perspective-shifting power of Little Quirks – this band’s universal appeal is undeniable.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
