Hitting the West Coast with an enviable lineup of Australian talent, Live Nation’s ONES TO WATCH series is set to make a splash with their debut showcase event in Western Australia, taking place at Mojo’s Bar, Fremantle on Thursday 3 July.

The ONES TO WATCH series has grown into a mammoth of an event on the Australian music industry events calendar – the perfect jump off point of Australian superstars in the making, and a perfect avenue for discovery when it comes to fans and influential industry members being able to be there in the room before these artists take the next pivotal step in their career.

Western Australia has been producing some of Australian music’s finest for many years now: a diverse melting pot of musicians and producers who have become national favourites and in some cases, international icons. With this year’s ONES TO WATCH event in Fremantle, the three West Coast artists on the bill represent the next wave of names set to take up the baton and stride forward with it.

Powerful indie trio Ghost Care have wasted no time in establishing themselves as one of the most exciting names to come out of Perth in recent years, generating heated momentum since first appearing on the scene back in 2019. Between band members Beau Torrance, Luke Del Fante and Emma Joan, there exists a beautifully natural chemistry that translates as well in the live space as it does on record. Having toured consistently across Australia, enjoying sold out headline shows in Perth and supporting the likes of The VANNS, Spacey Jane and more, Ghost Care have made an impactful start to 2025 with their singles ‘Better Off’ and ‘LCD’.

Teenage indie sensation, Mariae Cassandra, has had a rollercoaster set of months since taking out the Triple J Unearthed High competition in the second half of 2024. Capturing the programmers’ ears and from there, broader industry attention, with her submitted track ‘Million Billion Trillion’, Casssandra has been consistently building her cache of songs and ultimately, her performance presence. Her debut single ‘Cassie’ has over 100,000 streams – taking influence from artists including beabadoobee and Clairo, it’s clear that Mariae Cassandra’s sonic vision is one built around intimate songwriting and delivery.

Indie-folk artist Ullah has emerged as a prominent act and performer throughout Perth and Fremantle since 2021 – a dynamic and powerful artist the country has been falling in love with. Beneath her enticing sonics, is a tenderness and insight to Ullah’s storytelling – human connection remains at the centre of her work. To date she has impressed on stages with the likes of Great Gable, Billie Marten and Fool Nelson; while also drawing praise from performances in support of international names such as Tom Jones and James Taylor.

Returning to host this year’s ONES TO WATCH event will be the Gen Z voice of Australian music media, Tait McGregor. A multi-platform content creator, the presenter specializes in music, from TV, radio & podcasts, to sweaty mosh pits. Having written for the likes of MTV Australia, Tone Deaf & The AU Review, she has also worked in production for Netflix, STAN, VEVO & more.
